The boys down at Ash Grove Lime & Portland Cement Company at Ash Grove, Missouri have started using portable gas and electric power units. They sold one of the old steam power engines to a tie mill down in the southeast Ozark hills. They loaded the steam power unit on a flatcar so the Frisco local can pick it up to deliver it.

The local is pulling it out past the Cement Plant bluff now. |

The track past bluff is slow going for the train crews. |

That 1630 engine looks like one of those new "Russians" the Frisco picked up from Baldwin. |

Looks like the Stanton boys have had a breakdown getting ready to plant corn. |
e-mail When your e-mail editor starts - please remove the first character (underbar.) It makes it a little unhandy for you - but it's the ONLY way I know to slow down those e-mail robots currently sending so much automated junk e-mail currently.
