UPDATE: July 31, 2002

Premise:

The construction crew has been working hard on scenery and right of way.

Conclusion:

Scenery is VERY hard work for me!

It just doesn't come easy.
It must be that I'm more of a mechanic than artist.

Here are some photos of the only hill on the layout. The hill is removable.

Sac Valley engine #30 is a Mantua articulated approximately 30 years old
with a modified driveline and can motor with flywheel.

A  Soundtraxx decoder makes it sound like the real thing.

A head on shot to let you see how the front section of an
articulated engine moves around under the boiler
when traversing curved track..
Let me assure you, it's a long fall to a hard  landing on the right side of this picture.
Those engine crews take it very gingerly around this Ozarks bluff..

The camera person in some fashion was able
to get out into the gorge over the river
to get this shot of the morning mail/passenger train.
Looking at the bend from a different view,
you can see the edge of the layout fascia.
Our camera man moves further across the riverbed
closer to the train for this view.
