Viki's Place

So you want to know what 'The Wayward Inn' is all about huh? Then you've come to the right place! Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Jesse McMouser. I am the founder, owner, and management of this cozy little Inn. I also have two children, a two year old boy, and an unborn mouse on the way. Max, my little boy, is the reason I built this lovely place. You see, when Max was one, I was completely homeless. My husband had died, and I had no way of caring for a little one. Standing in front of Vikimouse's Orphanage, preparing myself to give up my little one in hopes that he would someday find a better home, I met a kindly old man. He took the two of us into his rather large estate and offered to let us stay here. The man was dying, and wished to spend his remaining days surrounded by friends. He had wanted a little one all his life, but had always been to busy to care for one. Now, at the end off is his days, he was too frail to adopt one. It worked out wonderfully for both of us. I was able to keep my child, and he was able to relax and enjoy his remaining days with a family. After his death, Max and I inherited this beautiful place. As much as I was greatful for the estate, I had no way of using up all of the space he left. Most of the rooms were large enough to hold entire families, and there were so many parts of the house I had never even been to. I decided to put this place to good use, and open up an Inn where Mice all over the world without homes could come to live. After all, I wasn't the only mouse who had a similar story. Many mice who leave the shelter of Vikimouse's Orphange never find a good home. In fact, most of them grow old and die in cyberspace, waiting for someone to build them a place to live.

If this describes your mouse family, this is for you! We allow any and all mice families to live in our beautiful mansion, provided they follow a few simple rules:
1. All mice shall clean up after themselves while in their rooms. There is a weekly inspection of every room and we expect your room to be clean. Any damages your mice cause to the walls, floors or furniture of any room in the house must be paid for before they move out.
2. No mouse may be rude to other mice, or use any form of cursing while inside these walls. If I recieve complaints about this, the mouse family will be force to move out within the month.
3. My staff are not slaves. Be kind to them.
4. You MUST move out within Six Months of moving in, unless you re-apply within a month of your move out date. If you re-apply by using the same forms as before, I will decide if it's alright for you to remain an extra six months, depending on how crowded we are. This is not a permanent home, it is only a temperary home until you build your own place.
5. Sending me coments, suggestions, and useful information is fine. Sending me hate-mail will result in you moving out within the week.

Still interested? Good! There are a few steps you need to take in order to get a home of your very own.
1. Check how many Rooms are currently available.
2. Go to www.Vikimouse.com and find your adoptees. Do NOT leave the page yet. This is where it gets a little tricky. Take note of which part of the adoption you found your mice in. Lets say you found your first one in the Infant section of the orphange. Now count from top left to bottom right until you hit your mouse. How many mice were there total? That is your mousie's new number, so I know how to find them. Lets say, for example, that is your mouse. It is in the Infant department. It is the 22nd mouse from the top left. *NOTE that twins and septuplets count as 1 mouse each, we are counting mouse IMAGES, not actual mice. The mothers area also counted as infants because they are in the infant department.* since it is the 22nd Infant, it's number is Infant22. Write down each of the mice in your family like this.
3. Submit your first application. Do NOT change the subject. List the following Information:

Mouse family's last name
Number of Mice in family
Ages of Mice in the family
What are your Mouse Numbers?

Here is an example of a properly filled in form, using Jesse McMouser and her family.

Mouse family's last name: McMouser
Number of Mice in family: 3
Ages of Mice in the family: 25, 2, and an Unborn mouse
What are your Mouse Numbers?:
Infant 21, Infant 14, none

It may take a while to recieve a reply from me, which does not mean you aren't recieving a room or that I didn't get your message. Only apply once. If I do not respond within 1 full week (no less then seven days) then you may e-mail me again to ask if I received your application. The more letters you send in, the longer it will take me to complete your room.
Y our work is done for now, but for those of us at the Wayward Inn, our's is just beginning. I will be busily trying to find a room of the appropriate size for your mouse family. If there are no rooms available I will be working on clearing out a room for you. This is a long and tiresome process, as I will have to re-customize many rooms in some cases. For example purposes, lets say you have a family of 6.
A family of six is considered a Medium family size. If there is a medium sized room available, it's doubtful that getting in contact with you will take more then two to three days before I am ready to move your mice in. This is not always the case, however.
Lets say that all the Medium family rooms are filled, but we have some smaller rooms available that will hold up to 4 people. and have not yet been filled. I will first examine your mouse family. If you were to have 2 teens over 16-years-old then I would probably be able to offer you a Small family room, and suggest that your two eldest children move into the Bunk Rooms. This, of course, would only work if you had two teenagers of the proper age. This will take me less time to contact you, but about twice as long before I am ready to move onto the next step in moving your mice in, because I must wait for your reply.
Lets now assume that your mouse family, still holding six members, had no teenages, or not enough of them, to downsize your family to a smaller room. Now what? Now I search through other family houses. Have I placed any Medium families in the section that DO have enough older teens to downsize their room? If I find one, I will then contact that family. What would normally take only a few days will now depend greatly on when they check their mail, and how long it takes for them to decided if they will allow me to move them. I will of course, contact all available families that could be moved and the first to respond positively will be moved. Moving them may sound simple, but it is not. I customize each room for each family. Adding certain toys and accessories that I think would go well with their home. Even the smallest details must be planned in advance before I place the mice inside their home and re-upload it onto the net. Then, I begin the next step for you. This is one area I cannot predict a time limit on, so I will contact you if I am getting no responses and let you know why I have not yet accepted you.
Now lets, for the sake of arguement, say that there are no small or medium rooms, or at least none that there is a way of fitting your family into. Is that it? Are you dismissed? Not yet. Now you will be contacted to ask your permission to be placed into a Larger room then you need, along with another needy family who can fill the extra space. In this case, you have six family members. Since the large rooms can comfortably fit Ten without problems, we will be looking for a Small sized family who has Four members and is willing to move into your room with you. This step will take as long as it takes for you to respond, but will not be finished until a suitable roommate is found. I will publish your newly created home in step two, just as I would if you had a medium room, but when I recieve word from an eligable family who is ready to move in with you, your home will be placed back under construction. When they are moved in, your mice may return to their regular lives.
In the event that you refuse a large room, two families will be contacted and asked to move into a large room together. If no families agree to this, however, you are then sent a letter informing you that no room could be found for you in the Wayward Mouse Home. You may reapply if you see a room you like become available at any time, but will be put through yet another waiting period while all the above steps are taken care of. If the majority of the rooms are taken in the home, there is a good chance that extra rooms will be built to accomidate extra mice. If your lucky you'll be the first to spot it, and claim it before anyone else. That's alot of work huh? So, the bottom line is that you need to be patient. I have to make your room, and the rooms of any others who offered to move for you, before I can move on to actually publishing your new home.

I will now begin creating them a room. Each room is created from scratch, so while they all look a bit similar, they all take a bit of time to create and decorate. I don't just copy and paste the same room over and over. I will design the room, and would appreciate if you didn't complain that it's not what you had in mind. To get a room that is what you've always dreamed of for your mice, you need to build them their own house. While I am laboring away, you will be informed that your mice are now hanging out somewhere in the Inn and are currently on the waiting list for a room. I will normally place large families in the Den, small families and singles in the Office, and Medium familes in the Kitchen or Lobby area. When you recieve this e-mail, come back to this page and fill our your Second Application. The information is a bit more complicated, but not too hard to fill in. You are required to fill out a form for each mouse in your family. Since there are Six Mice in our example, we'll pretend you have to fill it in six times. Time consuming? Yes. Hard? Not really:

Full Name of Mouse
Mouse Number
Age Of Mouse
Birthday of Mouse
Gender of Mouse
Hobbies of Mouse
Favorite Color

A Personal Quote

Again, here is an example of a properly filled in form using only Jesse McMouser.

Full Name of Mouse: Jesse Marie McMouser
Mouse Number: Infant 21
Age Of Mouse: 25 years old
Birthday of Mouse: January 9th
Gender of Mouse: Female
Hobbies of Mouse: Cooking, biking, and caring for others.
Favorite Color
: Pink
A Personal Quote: "Welcome to the Wayward Inn!!"

The personal quote is what will pop up when someone's pointer is over your mouse. Great! Your almost done. Send them all to me inside of the SAME e-mail please. I don't like getting flooded and trying to find all the e-mails people sent. If all the blanks aren't filled in for each mouse, your form will have to be re-filled out. These are not optional questions. The only exceptions are the Hobby and Quote questions. If your mouse is under 2 years old, that question is optional. Until this information is recieved, your mice will not be placed in their home and their home will not be published. If you do not respond within a week (7 days) then your room will be given to the next person in line for a room. After recieving your form, creating your room, and publishing your new home, my work is done. Your turn!

So now what happens? Well... you can stay here. You can work on your school, go to your job, or just play on your playstation all day long for up to six months without worrying about your mice! OR, you could work your tail off! Hey.. this is a TEMPERARY home remember? Make your mice a house, you bums! Build them a cottage, a mansion, or an apartment building made for 6,000,000 to live in.. I don't care. Just make them one! The poor guys can't stay here forever you know! After six months your Mice, regardless of the condition of their house, will be booted from my place, unless you have e-mailed me within a month of your Move Out date to ask for permission to stay another six months. There are other mice out there who need a home. Hop to it. If you finish your house before the six month deadline, you can send in a Final Form and have your mice evicted early. Simply state that you want your mice to be evicted, and it will be done. Your room will be taken down, and your mice will finally have some peace and quiet from those cranky neighbors. Your mice will also be linked for the rest of their lives, allowing old friends to locate them after you have moved out. That is... until your link no longer works.
