We are the Prairieland Pickers; a group of four couples from Central/Southern Illinois between Effingham-Vandalia (we call it Prairieland).  We play mainly folk music and gospel music for nursing homes, hospitals, special events, and others when requested.

"You got time to breathe, you got time for music."

Joe Clark was a famous Dulcimer player many years ago.

One song we play is called "Old Joe Clark."

This is an old barn in Cripple Creek, Colorado.

Another song we play is called "Cripple Creek."

This town got it's name because there is a steep creek

where cattle crossed and they frequently would fall

and become crippled.

Notice the song is written in dulcimer tablature.
