BIOGRAPHY
Vicki Tardy has been weaving and spinning since 1974; her main areas of interest are exploring various 4- and 8-shaft pattern weaves and adapting them to use in garments and functional household items. Teaching weaving has been Vicki main focus in recent years; she has taught beginning and intermediate classes and workshops in her Iowa City home studio and for Midwest Weavers Association, Convergence and guilds throughout the country. Many of Vicki's handwoven items have appeared in Weavers and Handwoven magazines. She also maintains a small herd of llamas which keep her knee deep in luscious soft fiber.
