How do I get involved with your program?                                                         We provide treatment services for persons over the age of 18.  Persons attending our treatment programs may be self referrals, court ordered, or involved with the Department of Human Services. 

How do I get involved with your program?                                                            To determine the appropriate level of care based on your needs, you must first have an assessment completed.  We conduct assessments for a fee or accept referrals from assessment agencies.  To schedule an assessment or intake for admission contact us at 515-280-3860. 

Do you have a waiting list?                                                                                  We strive to assist you in beginning your program of recovery at the earliest available time.  Intakes will be scheduled at the soonest time available; however, the length of time for intake varies.  To be scheduled for an intake you may contact our office at 515-280-3860.  Waiting lists are maintained from time to time.  The waiting time to enter one of our treatment program varies depending on program demands.  The amount of time on the waiting list varies.    

What is the cost of the program?                                                                            United Community Services offers financial assistance using a sliding fee scale.  The sliding fee scale is based on your income and the number of dependents in your family.  All clients are encouraged to apply for the sliding fee scale.  To be considered for the sliding fee scale you must provide proof of your income to determine eligibility.  Acceptable proof of income includes one of the following: Paycheck stub, Iowa Workforce statement, Social Security statement, or food stamp eligibility notice.  Medicaid does pay for your treatment services provided by UCS. Private Insurance Companies may pay for the cost of services at UCS.  You should contact your insurance provider to ensure coverage prior to beginning services.  If needed, we will work with you to schedule payment arrangements.  

What are your treatment hours?                                                                               Groups are offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Our Spanish Language Group is held Wednesday's from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  We offer a variety of continuing care groups.  For additional information you may contact our office at 515-280-3860.
