Here are the supplies
Place the rose in your tubes folder
And the font in your fonts folder.

Open a new 400x400 image
Click on Text tool
Type in your text and fill with any color and font you think will look nice.  use some creative preferences here.
Font size depends on the font you pick.  Make sure Floating and Antialias is checked.
Select none.
Add a new Rastar Layer.
Choose an item to go threw your name.  Like a flower stem or other thin object. 
Place that on the second layer
You may want to colorize your flower to match your sig.
Use the lasso tool   and carefully draw around the flower head.  click in the center of it once to tighten the ants.
 
Color/Colorize the flowerhead.  Mess with the settings till its the color you want.  this is not an exact science.  Redo it if you aren't happy with the color.
You may have to rotate your image.
Image/rotate, adjust the settings and sharpen. 
You may want to mirror the image so the drop shadow is on the bottom instead of the top.
You may want to erase some leaves or a drop shadow.
Select the eraser tool and start erasing.
Adjust the size appropriately.  The smaller the number, the smaller the area it erases.
 
You may have to make the stem longer.
Use the lasso tool and select just the stem.., click in the center once to tighten the marching ants. adjust the size and set at an angle if you wish using the deformation tool .  Select none.

Position your flower where you want it over your name. It's important to put it exactly where you want it now so the names will be perfectly matched up. You don't want to move them after this point.

In your layer palette, duplicate the flower layer.
Drag the copy below the name.  You now have a sandwich. 
flower, name, flower.

Select the eraser tool
You will not have to be too careful erasing the flower over your name because you have the bottom flower layer to show threw.
Make sure you are working on your top flower.  Start erasing in areas of the stem where you want the name to show threw.  You should have a weaving effect if you go about every other line in a letter.
Merge visible.
At this point I generally add a layer and send it to bottom and flood fill the layer with a color so I can see if I missed anything in the erasing.  I usually fill it with lime green.  its a gross color to look at but you can see almost any imperfection on it.  Then I delete the green layer
Add a drop shadow if you wish.
Copy the image and paste as new image.  Your image should be cropped nicely this way.
*Save as a .gif now if you dont wish to animate.
*Tip, if you have trouble saving this transparent because of the drop shadow, open it up in animation shop and save as a .gif.

Duplicate your layers so you have 3 or 4 if you want and add sparkles to each layer.  You know how to do that right?  X out all the layers except the one you want to add the sparkles on.  Make sure the layers your working on is hilighted.  Add a few sparkles.  X that layer out and go down to the next one.  Add a few sparkles in different places.  so on and so forth.
Save as a .psp and take it to animation shop. 
Select All and set the frame properties to about 20...or whatever you prefer to have your sparkle speed at and save.
