For this
tutorial you will need:
Place the
M_coconut ice preset in your environments and textures folder inside
Super Blade Pro.
Place the
Snowdrift font in your Fonts Folder
and the
sparkle in your Tubes Folder.
Lets begin:
Open a new
500 X 300 transparent image.
Click on the
the text tool and type in your text.
Using these
settings:
Snowdrift
Font
Size 72
Floating
Anti alias
checked
Style Settings:
Stroke:white
Fill: #B6C5DA
With the
marching ants still around your text apply the M_coconut ice preset
using Super Blade Pro.
It will be
listed in the Environments and Textures folder inside Super Blade Pro
which is inside Flaming Pear.
Click on the
button shown below.
Apply a
drop shadow:
Effects/3D
effects/drop shadow
Vertical
and Horizontal
Set to 12
Opacity
50
Blur
6.2
Color
#202020
OK
Selections/ Select none
Add a new
raster layer and send to bottom..Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom
Click on the Flood Fill tool
Change the fill to the icey-blue color #B6C5DA
Stroke: gradient..scroll to the top and click on the #1 gradient(should
be the icey-blue and white)
Horizontal

To Eliminate the
banding of the gradient when you save:
Effects/Enhance
Photo/JPEG Artifact Removal/Strength: Normal/ Amount 50/OK OR
Effects/Noise/Add 3% Uniform.
Add a new
raster layer and place the optional sparkle tube in the center of the
gradient.
You may wish
to crop at this time..but don't crop too close because we are going to
add an icy looking frame too.
Change your
background color to black
Add a border now image/add border/symmetric 15
Grab the Magic Wand and
tap inside
the border..marching ants should encase the border
Flood fill with the icy blue color,#B6C5DA
Effects/Super Blade Pro/M_coconutice
Add a drop shadow now:
Effects/3D
effects/Drop Shadow
Vertical 2 Horizontal 2
Opacity
80 blur
3.7
color: black
Reapply the drop shadow changing
the Vertical and Horizontal settings to -2
Selections/Select none
Resize if need
be.
All Done!
