The Iowa Model Steam Engineers is located outside Mt Pleasant. We have 1800' of 1 1/2" ground track and 650' of elevated track for 1" and 3/4" scales.
Spring and Fall meet date for 2012 are June 2 & 3 and September 15 & 16 with a work day the Friday before each meet.

We are starting to have Spring weather witch means it is time to tune up the track!
Two work days have been scheduled to bring the track back into shape after the winter effects of freeze and thaw.
The first is on Sunday April 15th with a rain date of Sunday April 22nd. The second work day is to be on Sunday May 6th with a rain date of Sunday May 20th.
There is plenty to do (listed below) so mark these days on your calendar to come out and work.
Things that need done on work days.
> Ballast the track were needed
> Aline the track and level low spots
> Rake the track
> Pick up branches that have fallen
> Trim trees for clearance if needed along the track
> The switch at the south end of bridge 1A needs leveled
> The curves on the new addition need the supper elevation checked
