The Triumph TR-4, the best of the Sport Triumphs.

1962 TR-4 in Powder Blue.

This car is an early '62, (Maybe February of 1962) and as near as I can tell correct with the exception of the hood (Bonnet). This one is, unfortunatly, a long bulge hood.

I think they look better with the top down. But this picture does not do it justice.

For those of you not aquatinted with the TR-4, that hole in the bottom center of the grill is for the hand crank. All of the TR-4s had this hole but only the early ones had (as standard equipment) the square hole in the radiator to allow the crank to be used.

If you can identify the light colored planter about an inch above the Fuel filler cap, you will have an idea just how "hick" this area of California is. (Yes it's my "planter")

O.K., O.K., the steering wheel is not correct. But it is a period accessory (kinda'), and the Moto-Lita does look good. The dash will be painted the correct New White some day.

Since this page was done I have made a couple of changes to this car in an effort to make it a bit more daily-drivable. Those changes can be found on the More About Blue page.
