This data base is a list of sales. These are not my sales, but rather any that I know of. Most of these are from Ebay, and all that that means.
I started keeping this for myself, so that I might have some idea what different models are going for. Prices listed do NOT included shipping, this is just the basic sales price. You will find this list heavy in Hammarlund and Hallicrafters...because that is what I mostly like.
The rating system is just how the radio is in my opinion. It is supposed to be a 1 to 10 scale, but I seem to rate few rigs below 5 or above 8. At an 8 it has to be very very clean looking. Most daily use rigs are going to be 6 or 7 to me.
Any missing or mismatched knobs are going to drop a 7 to a 6. If it is incomplete and very clean it may rate a 6, but more likely a 5. Major missing parts, working or not, is going to be a 5. Missing parts and not working is a 5 or 4.
Many missing parts is going to be a 4 or less, I don't bother to even list most of those. Working but rusty/major scratches is going to be between 5 and 6.
So, take this data base with a grain of salt, I am doing it mostly for me, and I know what I mean by my scale. But, if it helps you at all, welcome to it.
It is pretty likely that this DB will be updated in burst and fits. Also, the focus of the DB may shift from time to time, as I look at specific brands/types/genres. Right now, and for the last month or so (March/April 2006), I am adding about 20 sales a day, but that rate probably will not last.
If you see a negative number under the price column that means the radio did not sell for some reason. Often it means the bidding did not hit the reserve that was placed on the radio, but most often it means that the starting price was too high and no one placed a bid on the radio. Quite often when the later is the case the radio is relisted at a lower starting price.
