This project, and this page, started when our 1964 Chrysler New Yorker found its way to us, on July 24, 2003

Well, it seems that the grass liked the car also. Remember, the car had not moved in 23 years, it had "taken root" so to say.

We knew the grass had grown up around the car, but what we found was that the stuff had grown in the car also. Each bumper was stuffed with grass. The grass had grown under the door ledges and under the body trim.



And naturally up and around the engine. Including in the air intake. I half expected to find grass growing down the carburetor, but it did not make it through the air cleaner element.

There used to be a bumper sticker you would see every once in a while, about gas, grass, and a free ride, I wonder if this is what they had in mind? Yes indeed, it is a new technology, the Grass Tank.
