The Escape Port.
The opening of the doggy door is about 8 inches (21 cm) tall and 5 (13 cm) inches wide.
Sometimes he dosn't want to go outside, particularly if it is rainy or cold out. He cannot stand walking on snow. But if the weather is nice he pretty much spends all his day outside sleeping in the sun or in his wading pool.
Getting that first leg up and over the ledge is the biggest hurdle, unless he has been outside eating. Then his belly might be swollen enough to chalange the deminsions of the door. He has had to wait outside for hours to digest his food a little before he could fit through the door.
Almost through....
That is his favorite blankey in the lower left corner, he gets really upset if it gets moved and he can't find it. Makes wash day interesting.
