Fairgrounds 2720 Carroll Rd Fort Wayne, IN The Allen Co Fairgrounds are located North of Fort Wayne on Hwy 3. Turn West on Carroll Road. Watch for our Signs! General Admission $3.00 Kids under 12 Free Munchies, Beverages and other Refreshments available Large Raffle Table and a Door Prize! Vendors with Cages, Playgyms, Toys, Birds, Toys, Food, and Toys, etc. ALL KINDS OF GREAT STUFF!! Thank You! Hoosier Bird Buddies is a non-profit association. All proceeds are contributed to adoption and rescue efforts or educational purposes within the avian community. This includes the funding of operating expenses for the Hoosier Bird Buddies. Who are we?

We are a bird club located in Fort Wayne Indiana,

whose purpose is to Educate our members and

the general public on all aspects of avian care

and husbandry, to Advocate and Teach the concept

of “responsible aviculture”, where the birds are

given priority over commercial, personal,

monetary, or other human concerns, to Support

efforts to combat illegal activities, cruelty, or

incompetence in the keeping of birds, and to

Enjoy the bond we all share as bird lovers.

 

Meeting Information

We meet on the first Sunday of every month,

unless it is a Holiday weekend and then

we meet on the 2nd Sunday. Our meetings start

1:30 PM.

 

Our meetings are held in the upper classroom

at the Diehm Museum, 600 Franke Park Dr.,

near the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo at 1:30pm

Membership

Membership is open to anyone; you do not have

to own a bird to be a member.

Annual family membership dues are $20.

Our Bird Fairs

We have two bird fairs a year, one in the spring

and one in the fall.  We have vendors that sell

food, cages, birds, toys and almost anything else

bird related.  We also have a large raffle table with

great items donated by manufacturers and vendors.

 

Our fairs are located at the Allen County Fairgrounds,

2720 Carroll Road from 10 am to 4 pm.  Admission is

$3 for adults, children are free.

 

Our next fair is Nov. 1st, 2009
