I am researching the Steele family and have a Mary Ellen Steele b. September 20, 1881 in Downie Township, Perth County, Ontario, Canada who was married to Charles S. Tramm November 1, 1900 in Delhi, Redwood County, Minnesota. Looks like this is probably the same family. I am a descendent of Mary's younger brother Wallace Steele. Have you done any Steele research? I would be willing to share if you'd like.

Yes, it's the same family! I know many of these names, first from hearing my parents, aunt, and grandparents speak of them and later from the research I've done. I'm in the process of transcribing my family tree from my old Mac to a new PC. As soon as I get a chance, I'll send what I have to you. I knew some of the names of the children of Mary (Steele) and Charles Tramm but not all and nothing of their children and grandchildren, etc. So your information is a big help. Just be a little patient with me and I'll send you what I have. My dad, Maynard Steele, and your grandfather Walter Tramm were 1st cousins. My dad is 83 and his sister Effie is soon to be 87. Dad is not doing too well but his mind is pretty clear and Effie has a great memory. So if you have any particular questions about their generation or their parents, let me know and I'll be glad to ask them. They both have a few memories of Priscilla Jane Steele. I'll send you what they remember of her. Sorry it took me so long to respond but we were on vacation and just returned this week.
