In the spring of 2000, Jeff and Tom Mills got the idea to build a canoe.  After a little internet research, we decided on the "Chippewa", a 15 foot canoe plan from Glen-L, out of California.  We purchased all the materials locally, except for the epoxy and fiberglass, which we bought from Raka.
