This shows one of our bigger mistakes. The instructions clearly
say to detach the ribbands from the stems prior to attaching the final
planking, but we neglected to read them. We had to break off the
ribbands, leaving small splinters in the bow and stern. We had to
worry them out with pliers, screwdrivers, chisels, and vice grips.
What a pain!
