We're pretty proud of our seats. Jeff made the cherry frames
(mortise and tenon), and Tom hand-wove the cane filler. Tom used
a vinyl with fiberglass core synthetic cane. It took about 8 hours
to weave each seat. I followed the pattern found in a canoeing book.
They're very comfy; much better than aluminum seats. Just the right
amount of give.
