I added this oak rub strip to trim out the ends. I cut the strips
on the table saw, and bent them to shape on the stove. I just boiled
a large skillet of water, dipped the middles of the strips into the boiling
water, and in about 30 seconds, it was pliable enough to bend easily into
a smooth curve. Slick as can be. I rounded them off after the
epoxy cured, and it looks first-rate on the finished canoe.
