Epoxy, pumps, fillers

We used Raka epoxy and fiberglass.  We got both the fast and slow hardeners.  For quick work, like putting the strips on, we used the fast hardener, unless it was too hot outside.  The slow hardener was perfect when we needed more pot life, like embedding the glass cloth.  The pumps on the bottles was worth the money, 10 times over.  We never had a bad mix.

We used both silica and microbaloons for filler.  The microbaloons really bulked up the mix; useful when gluing the second layer of wood strips to the first.  The silica modified the resin so it wasn't so runny; perfect for vertical surfaces.  We were very happy with the epoxy.  We made a notched trowel for spreading the glue on the second layer of strips.
