We do a Bang Up Job!

Come join our action at the world's best airshows!!!

Sam and Sandy, Norfolk Naval Air Station, 2000.

I am a team member with Rich's Incredible Pyro , an internationally acclaimed group of pyrotechnicians specializing in large scale explosions guaranteed to make huge audiences cringe, gasp, and cheer.  The team is headed up by Rich Gibson, his wife Diane, and has several other highly experienced pyrotechnicians.  We have performed at airshows for the last 20 years all over the world including the USA, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, El Salvador, and Australia.

You might want to take a look at a few photos from some of our shows. Here is a too small picture of our famous Wall of Fire  You should see it at night!

What does it take to be a world class pyrotechnician? We have three positions, based on experience and seniority, Lighters, Throwers, and Catchers.  Newbies start as Catchers.  If they make the grade they upgrade to Throwers and if they can pass muster over a couple of seasons, one may be eligible for the coveted Lighter position.  There are other positions which are only filled every decade or so, for instance, here is a photo of our Pyro Princess, with her bodyguard.

In my day job, I work for one of the world's premier explosives companies, the Ensign-Bickford Company, in the Commercial Products Division as a manufacturing quality engineer.
