meetings scheduled:
Engineer-

reported that we would hear directly from the Governors Office regarding
the state Capital Development monies.
Buildings
and Grounds -
- Trustees
questioned whether the siding had been done on our metal building in the
alley. Mayor noted that it had
not. Camey Construction has until
the end of September to complete the project.
Cemetery
Committee -
- Village
employees are working hard on catching up with mowing and trimming the
cemetery.
Finance/Band
Committee –
- Clerk and
Treasurer noted that the sewer fund was short $10,000 for paying a loan
payment and requested that the board borrow the money from the water fund
to be paid back at the end of October, after the water bills have been
collected. Motion carried.
- The board voted
to conduct a survey through NCICG (North Central Illinois Council of
Governments). Trustees and Mayor
will distribute the one page survey door to door and return to collect
them. The survey is to show whether
we are eligible for certain grant monies.
The survey is good for 5 years.
Complaint
Committee –
- Trustee
VanderMeersch pointed out that it is difficult when crossing Main St on Atkinson St.
to see oncoming traffic to the north due to the parked cars. It was thought that eliminating one
parking spot would help to eliminate this problem. Motion was carried to eliminate the top
parking spot on the northwest side of Main St.
Police
Committee –
- Officer Todd
Marquez gave the police department report. He noted that not everything
happens overnight and that some ordinance issues take some time to be
resolved and that he prefers to work with the people.
Streets
and Alleys Committee –
- Clean up day
will be in October.
Public
