Directions to the Observatory

We are located approximately 10 miles north of Burlington IA.

Option 1 - easiest to find...

Go north on Hwy 61 from Burlington ~10 miles or south from Mediapolis ~3 miles.  Turn west at the John Deere dealership (190th St).  Go west about 3 miles (gravel) to the T-intersection with 152nd Ave. Turn left, and left again at the first drive.

Option 2 - only 1 mile of gravel

Turn off Hwy 61 on Pleasant Grove Rd [H40] (1 mile north of John Deere dealer - paved road).  Go west 3 miles, then turn south on 152nd Ave.  Go one mile, then turn into first driveway on the left after 190th St.

Note that 152nd Ave is now closed just south of the observatory complex because of the new lake project.  There is no access between the observatory  and Dodgeville Road via 152nd/154th Ave.
