Roxana Currie Pens Polk City History

I'm Roxana Currie. I began writing local history as a cub reporter for the Tri-County Times in the early 80's. To promote a hundredth birthday celebration for the band stand on the square, I researched a series of articles about the town. I discovered more than I was looking for. I discovered that Polk City had one of the earliest histories in Cental Iowa! And I discovered local people liked to learn about it. So I kept writing. And the writings grew into books!
