A Quick Simple Pinhole Camera

Nick has made his pinhole by carefully pushing the tip of the pin into the aluminum using an eraser as a safe backer. Pushing it all the way through would make the pinhole too large. But pins bend and needles tend to snap off under too much pressure, so I go with the safer straight pins. |

Nick gently inserts the pin into the hole and spins the pin to clear small parts of metal that might have gone back in during the sanding. |
We check the aperture to see if it is clean and round. |

Nick sticks some masking tape on the bottom half of the lens to help hold it in place on the camera as he lines it up. |
Nick has lined up the pinhole by centering it in the 1/4" punched hole. Masking tape holds well and stays on longer in hot weather.
