To hear
PianoDisc perform on the piano pictured below, click on one of the
following titles to hear a short wav file.
Judy
This is a "stride"
arrangement which is characteristic of what we might expect to hear
on an old player piano, except PianoDisc plays it with more
expression and dynamics.
My
Heart Belongs To Daddy
This jazz tune utilizes
the symphony option to back up the piano with a full
orchestra.
Fantaisie-Impromptu
One of Chopin's best known
works.
My Strohber
upright shows that with PianoDisc, ANY piano can be converted to a
high tech computerized player piano. PianoDisc is capable of playing
with 127 levels of expression, recreating faithfully an original
performance like no other retrofit system.
Imagine
Liberace, Horowitz, Peter Nero, Steve Allen, Floyd Cramer or
countless other artists performing live in your home. Imagine being
able to record your own performance to hear played back on your
piano. Or having a string quartet, a symphony orchestra, or a rock
band accompany the piano. Maybe you would like to use your piano like
an electronic keyboard, with over 100 digital sounds and the ability
to practice privately with headphones, not to mention the action feel
of a real acoustic piano. It is truly the best of both worlds, and
all possible with the PianoDisc system
and available options.

Regardless of
what type of piano you own, regular tuning and
maintenance
are vital to the life and well being of your instrument.
Manufacturers recommend that you have your piano tuned twice a year,
though many people find that they can keep their pianos in good
playing condition with yearly tunings. If your piano is due for
service, and you live in the central Iowa area, please feel free to
call Dave Bunch Piano Service at (515) 961-8043 for anything from
basic tuning and repair to complete rebuilding.
There are
many midi files on the net, but my list is unique in that these links
will take you to sites that have files that are suitable for play on
PianoDisc systems. Please keep in mind that this does not mean that
EVERY file at these sites will play well on your system, but that
many of them sound great. You will just have to download the songs
you want and try them out. Hey, its an adventure!
Since many of
these files are type 1, and PianoDisc plays type 0, it is easiest to
just run all the files through a file converter to make sure they are
compatible. If you don't have a converter you can easily download
one.
Click
here for an
easy to use Windows version that will cost you $12.00 after the 5 day
trial period.
If you are
DOS literate, you can click
here for a
free DOS version.
I hope you
have fun with these and be sure to check back often as I will be
adding more sites as I find them.
