Amy Farrar has written a wide range of materials, including articles for newspapers, magazines, and trade publications; books; abstracts; direct mail; and proposals.
In 2007, Farrar's first book, Global Warming: Essential Viewpoints, was published. The book, directed primarily at middle school students, is based on extensive research Farrar did at the University of Minnesota. It presents an overview of how global warming came to be, from the Industrial Revolution to the present, what scientists and politicians are saying about it, and what organizations and countries are doing about it.
During her freelance career, Farrar has written on a wide range of subjects, including parenting, disabilities, general news, health and medical subjects, spirituality, and social and environmental issues. Farrar's travel articles have been published in the LA Times and Saint Paul Pioneer Press.
Farrar is currently working on her second book, about writing and freelance writing and editing.
