In 1999, Amy Farrar started her own business, Farrar Writing & Editing (FW&E), after she had worked in various publishing related positions for more than a decade. Since then, Farrar has done freelance writing and editing for a wide range of clients, including newspapers, magazines, book publishers, nonprofits, individuals, small and large businesses, and many others. Projects Farrar has worked on include books, articles, proposals, marketing materials, Web content, and much more.
In 2007, Farrar's first book, entitled Global Warming: Essential Viewpoints, was published by Abdo Publishing. The book is directed primarily at middle school students and presents the facts and arguments surrounding global warming based on Farrar's extensive research at the University of Minnesota.
