4. Oversee financial expenditures (food, Bibles, tracts, benevolence giving, etc.)
5. Work with the ONE Leadership in financial matters.
6. Work with the ONE Leadership in securing use of church facilities for cooking food, packaging materials, etc.
7. Develop Directors to work with you to lead various areas of ministry in the Outreach Department.
8. Hold periodic meetings for planning, prayer and fellowship.
9. Regularly promote the outreaches to the group to solicit financial, prayerful, and participative support.
10. Work closely with the ONE leadership and Directors.
11. Serve as a member of the ONE Leadership and attend all meetings.
12. Give a four-week written notice of resignation, if before the end of your term.

2. The church or service they are accustomed to may be of a different style, format and feeling than yours.
3. The Biblical Christian emphasis and atmosphere may be totally foreign to him/her.

Purpose: To oversee recruitment, training, and the ongoing ministry of the Discussion Leaders. To be a resource person for the Discussion Leaders through information, encouragement, counsel and prayer.

• should be able to communicate clearly to groups and on a one-to- one basis

Responsibilities:

2. The DLD should always be looking for people who attend that fit the qualifications of Discussion Leaders (DL). After timely observation, prayer, and consulting with the Singles director, potential DL should be approached and presented with the opportunity/responsibilities of this ministry.
3. Training The DLD will provide periodic training for DL. This training will equip the DL to effectively facilitate group discussion and deal with problems that may arise within the dynamics of a small group. The training will also stress the importance of the ministry of DL to individuals, to the small group and to the total ministry.

5. The DLD must be available to counsel, coach, encourage, support, problem solve, and pray for and with the members of the DL team.

Purpose: Lead the topic of discussion at ONE events. Facilitate group interaction by encouraging a balanced interchange within the group. Help provide an environment where spiritual growth can take place and solid relationships can be built.

Responsibilities:
1. Implement mixers/icebreakers
2. Function as host/hostess for the table: Make sure visitors at their table feel welcome and know about upcoming events (use the newsletter and activity flyers)
3. Ask topic questions, facilitate, and moderate group discussion -encourage group participation -ensure no individual monopolizes the conversation. Ideally there will be at least two discussion leaders at each table. One will be assigned the responsibility of asking the topic questions and facilitating the discussion. Any leader not "leading" the discussion should support the discussion leader by: -listening, providing clarification of questions and answers -helping the leader deal with any difficulties within the group.
4. A discussion leader must commit to this ministry for six months.
Purpose: To provide social/recreational activities for the single adults which will promote fun and fellowship. This person is appointed for a minimum period of six months and may succeed his/herself once with leadership permission.
Suggested Number of Staff: 2 to 4
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and implement one social activity each month. Activities for adults need to be varied! Activities used in the past include: New Year’s Party, Super Bowl party, Singles Conferences, Bowling, Underwood Park, Worship night, Chief’s game, Luau, Service projects, Movie night, Bunko night, Thanksgiving dinner. Additional ideas, camping, hiking, biking, swimming, bus tours, skating, dinner theater, etc.
2. Publicize activities in advance. Contact the Publicity Director for posters and flyers or design them yourself. Bring flyers to the meetings and place on the tables.
3. Organization is a must! Planning must take place in advance of the event to ensure smoothness and effectiveness.
4. Establish and follow a refund policy. How long will you refund money? How many days before the event will you not refund money?
5. If renting a room, piece of equipment, etc., this must be cleared with the leadership director.
6. The complete organization of all social activities. This may include games, food, props, materials, decorations, printing of tickets, sales, etc.
7. To help ensure there will be no alcoholic beverages served, sold, or used at any single adult activity.
8. Complete an Event Review detailing the following month's activities and give it to the Webmaster by the l0th of the preceding month.
9. Complete an Event Report following each event that has money coming through. Give a copy to the Director of ONE and retain one copy.
10. Arrange for someone to fulfill your responsibilities in your absence.
11. Give a two-week notice of resignation.
12. Serve as a member of the ONE staff and attend all meetings.
Purpose: To provide social/recreational activities for the single adults which will promote fun and fellowship. This person is appointed for a minimum period of six months and may succeed his/herself once with leadership permission.

Purpose: The Hospitality Ministry is a vital part of the ONE Ministry. The Bible commands us to be hospitable. Titus 1:8 - Be a lover of hospitality, holy & temperate Romans 12:13 - Distribute to the necessity of saints giving hospitality I Peter 4:9 - Use hospitality one to another without grudging "We will reap that we sow!"
Suggested Number of Staff: One male and one female Greeter at door entrance and two-people at name-tag table
Responsibilities:
1. Be 15-20 minutes early for preparation.
2. Verbally welcome every person who enters the room.
3. Shake hands, but do not hug the visitor.
4. Introduce the visitor to one of the Hosts or Hostesses who will stay with the person during the event.
5. Encourage the visitor to feel at home (to relax and be comfortable).
6. Be understanding and sensitive. Try to put yourself in the visitor's place! In other words, how might you feel coming into a room possibly not knowing anyone and wondering what type of group this is?
7. Let the golden rule have priority in any situation of the meeting - "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
8. Returning members are just as important, work with the Database Administrator to make sure their attendance is noted at each event.
9. Find someone else to replace you or notify the Hospitality Director in the event you are unable to be present.
Purpose: To assist in the overall smoothness of the ONE events by overseeing several set-up functions. This person is appointed for a minimum period of six months and may succeed him/herself once with leadership permission.
Suggested Number of Staff: 1-2
Responsibilities:
1. Verify all necessary entrance doors are unlocked or locked.
2. Turn all necessary lights on and off. (Meeting room, bathrooms, storage room, kitchen, hallway etc.)
3. Work with the Refreshment Director to set up and clean up needed equipment, food and drink items. (tables, paperware etc.)
4. Set up the marker board or other props before the meeting and put away following the meeting. Erase when necessary.
5. Set up and put away the welcome sign.
6. Arrange for someone to fulfill your responsibilities in your absence.
7. Find and train a person to possibly replace you upon your resignation.
8. Serve as a member of the ONE Leadership and attend all meetings.

Purpose: To publicize activities of ONE which will enable single adults to be aware of the many opportunities for spiritual, emotional, educational, and social growth. This person is appointed for a period of six months and may succeed him/herself once with leadership permission.

1. To publicize singles events and activities throughout the year.
Methods of Publicity
Posters/flyers/brochures - These should be posted at area churches that have agreed to publicize ONE.
Maintain supplies of flyers & brochures at the events.
Responsible for scheduling printing or having copies created
Professionally printed posters should be placed around the community in strategic locations—laundry mats, shopping centers, health clubs, etc.
Website – Activities Director will coordinate these updates.
Word of Mouth - This is usually one of the best methods. If people will tell about the good time they had at a past event, others will pick up the enthusiasm.

4. He/She will oversee the total process of the mailing of the newsletter and flyers, including deposit at the Post Office.
