Frequently Asked Questions

Q - What methods do you use in working with horses?

A - I don’t use the same methods with every horse.  I use some of the methods used by John Lyons, Craig Cameron, Chris Cox and Jack Brainerd in addition to methods of my own.  I like to wait and evaluate each horse individually before deciding the best approach.  My approach is to build a “One on One Relationship”

between horse and rider.

Q - What is the best age to start riding a horse?

A - I personally believe the best age to start a horse is 4-5 years.  It gives a horse time to develop and mature both mentally and physically.  You will have a stronger healthier horse in the long run.

Q - How long does it take to overcome a particular problem I’m having with my horse?

A - It depends on the type of problem you have and how much time and work you are willing to put in.  Each horse may vary.
