President’s Message

Hey….hope you all are having a great summer. I feel kind of silly doing a “President’s Message” since I am writing this newsletter, the entire thing is really my message! But, here goes, I’ll give it a try.

We have made it to the half way mark in the year. Our show is only 5 short months away. This is going to be a great show. The Show Committee with DH in the lead has done a great job. Please be thinking about what your talents are because we will need all of our member’s support in body and mind in November. Until then, there are other events to get excited about!

July 4^th is Independence Day and we will celebrate it at our July meeting. The meeting will be at my house regular date and time. We will have fresh hamburgers, watermelon, baked beans, pasta salad and lots of fun! We will have sodas but feel free to BYOB if you like. This is going to be a great time. I hope to see all of our members. Please RSVP to me at 661-2334 or middlebaypwd@earthlink.net. We want to be sure to have enough burgers!! Oh…here is a list:

Looking ahead to August we will have an “MKC Breed All About It” so make plans to be there.

Conformation Classes:

We have begun The MKC Conformation Classes. Stephanie Haffner is instructing the classes on Wednesday nights at E. R. Dickson school at 7PM. This week is Week #2. Classes are $25.00/non members; $10.00/members. Contact Stephanie if you are interested.

Summer Safety

Proposed By-Law Changes

Current Section 3. Board Meetings: Meetings of the Board of Directors shall be held in the greater Mobile Area. The meetings shall be held at the discretion of the Board but no less than ten (10) times per year; date, place and hour to be designated by the Board.

Proposed change to Section 3:

The meetings shall be held at the discretion of the Board but no less than two (2) times per year with additional meetings called as needed; date, place and hour to be designated by the Board.
