Mary Jo Langhorne has been an adjunct instuctor for the School of Library and Information Science since 1999 with a specialty in school libraries. She worked as coordinator of the library media program in the Iowa City Community School District from 1994-2002 and was a junior high and senior high school library media specialist for 19 years prior to that. She received her B.A. from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota and her M.A. from The University of Iowa School of Library Science. She has done additional graduate work in educational administration. Publications include Developing an Information Literacy Program: K-12: A How to Do It Manual and CD-ROM which she edited for Neal-Schumann. A second edition of the book is in preparation. She is the co-author, with Jean Donham, June Gross and Denise Rehmke of Teaching With Computers, published by Oryx Press, as well as numerous articles. Langhorne does consulting and training work in Iowa, specializing in information literacy, data-driven management and instructional technology.
