| As I updated this page, I
started noticing a pattern. A pattern of Spike, Spike, and more
Spike. Well, why not? He's pretty, and there
seems to be no end to the themes writers can build into stories about
him.
I started writing Spuffy and was lured to other pairings by friends. I seem to be easily led:) There are, however, a few stories listed below that don't feature William the Bloody. Most of these are completed fics. I've noted the stories that are Works in Progress.

Pillow Talk This fic begins as Buffy tries to cope in early Season 6, and begins to deviate from canon after a few chapters. A slight change in circumstances, a different decision or two, and you wind up with very different results. Part I is finished, with 30 chapters posted. Three parts are planned. | The following four stories
are all set in a fluffy, and consequently AU, Season Six. All can be
read as standalones. Assume
Buffy didn't die at the end of Season 5, or,
if she did, she was glad to get back. Don't go looking for any huge
problems. They're not there, although all is
not sweetness and light. Which is good, because we all know how bad
light is for Spike.
Cubed
To solve a mysterious string of deaths, Buffy and Spike must go where
they have never gone before—undercover at a large company, where they
must hunt down a murderer amid the cubicles while coping with
PowerPoint Presentations and the Coffee Fund Rules. Silly.
Complete. (R, about 20,000 words) WInner at the Love's
Last Glimpse Awards for Best Long Story and Best Comedy/Fluff in
Round 15, and Runner-Up for Best Comedy Fluff in the 2006 Year's Best
there. Harry from Cubed
won as Most Original Demon at the Fang Fetish Awards.
(I can't tell you how tickled I am to get this on Harry's behalf. But I
know I'm not half as pleased as he would be!) If it's Tuesday, this must be Sunnydale Anya comes up with a cunning plan to solve everyone's money problems. The story is complete at around 23,000 words. Rated R. If

the Spark and Burn Awards
for Best Comedy/Fluff and Best Buffy Characterization, and later won as
Best of the Best for Comedy/Fluff. Won

Awards for Most Original Element (Demon School) and Best
Unrecognized, Completed fic. Giftless is my take on the theme of Spike searching for a suitable gift for Buffy. It's Valentine's Day, and Spike isn't just giftless, he's clueless. Rated PG. About 7,000 words. |

Secret as the Grave Buffy/Spike again. This story begins in Season 7 shortly after “Showtime” and also goes AU--very AU. The story is complete, with 17 chapters posted. (Overall rating: R) Chapter
11, Paradise can be read as a standalone, but, of course,
there are spoilers for the preceding chapters. This chapter is
lighter in tone than the fic as a whole. Secret
as the
Grave won Best Saga and was the runner-up for Best Buffy
Characterization at Round 20 of the Love’s
Last
Glimpse Awards.

won me in
the Writercon auction. She wanted a pairing that I would never have
considered writing otherwise, and I'm very glad she did. This
'ship deserves to be explored, if for no other reason than the two
vamps most involved don't seem to have given it a hell of a lot of
thought themselves.
The first part describes their meeting prior to "Harsh Light of Day" in Season 4 BtVS. The second is a series of scenes during Season 5 AtS. (Hard R, with warnings for sex, snarking, and cutsie pink things) Winner of Best Spike/Harmony at

Glorious Morning Have I Seen A Spike/Joyce fic.
(Yes, in that way. It's NC-17 too.) I started writing
this because a friend wanted Spike to have sex
with someone who was always nice to him. It turned out to be lots
of fun. Really. I've written a sequel, Present
Tense, which has an actual plot and lots of old movie references,
and added a snippet
of their further adventures.
Mother Knows Best (But she's not foolish enough to come out and say so.) sammywol wanted to know how Joyce would keep her resolution to break up Buffy and Riley if the affair got too serious. It took 910 words. In Dead Man and Taxes, Spike wants to do Joyce, but Joyce wants to do her 1040. Written for tax day (April 15, 2005.) Present
Tense was the winner of Best Spike/Joyce and Judge's
Choice at the Harem
of Spike Awards. It has been nominated for the Best of Rare
Pairings in the Fang
Fetish Awards.

Quick and Bitter, Slow and Sweet Complete, with four chapters and an epilogue. Multiple Personality Disorder!Spike, Spike/Tara, with Spike and Dawn, and Tara and Dawn friendship and bit of Spike/Buffy and Spike/Willow angst. Not as goofy as it sounds! I hope this comes across as a sweet romance with a touch of humor. (R) I've started a sequel, Nothing, or The Thrall of Victory, the Agony of Healthy Eats. It can be read as a standalone for now. Runner-up for best het at the Fang Fetish Awards. "Quick and Bitter" is the winner of three Shadows and Dust awards for Romance and Best Unconconventional Ship. Winner of Best Spike/Tara at the Harem of Spike Awards. Nominated in the romance category for unconventional 'ships at the Shades of Grey Awards. A Bug on the Cosmic Windscreen "A Spike Oddity" is the first chapter of a story that drops Spike into the universe of the new "Battlestar Galactica." The second chapter is "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galactica." The third chapter is "Last in Space." Get the idea? Not entirely serious. Written to thank contributors to funds for Hurricane Katrina survivors. This is a work-in-progress, but the final rating will probably be between PG-13 and R.

Written on the Wind This was inspired by a list Barb C made of things she dislikes in fanfic. She very kindly gave me permission to post this tale, which crams every single one of her "hates" into less than 2,000 words. Definitely in the "Just Plain Silly" category, although it's set as a threesome just to fit in all those "hates."

The Tale of the Fairytale Spirit I'm just a minor contributor on this one, which was a collaborative effort that grew on an off-topic thread of the Band of Buggered forum . It turned into something a bit too disorganized to be a Round Robin. Not exactly a fanfic, it's a fantasy about pixies and other supernatural creatures, and what would have happened if they'd intruded on the real lives of some of the people on the board.
