January 10, 2009 I'd like to say that I can't believe that I haven't updated in almost a year, but unfortunately it's been a crazy year and I can believe it. Some writing has been done, however, and I'm starting to load those stories. Others can be found on my Live Journal.

Today I've posted the rest of Bug on the Cosmic Windscreen.  The chronicle of Spike's time as a Hitchhiker on the Galactica is complete.

More bits of Pillow Talk and some stories new to this site will be coming soon.

February 3, 2008  Added Forget and Smile, a sequel to Sweet Lethe. The story picks up years after the original fic. Buffy pays a visit to some old friends.

December 27, 2007 I've been terrible at updating the site and at working on Pillow Talk. I have written some other things, however, and am finally posting them here.

No Illusions
is the beginning of my Buffy/Spike/Angelverse, but written after the threesome trilogy. Originally posted in the "Decade of Spike" LJ community that was created to celelebrate the tenth anniversary of Spike's first appearance on BtVS. NC-17. About 6000 words.

Who's the Doctor is a silly crossover with the new Doctor Who. This arrived in my brain one day when I was wondering where my sense of fun had gone. Obviously, it had been lurking in this plot bunny. It's an Alternative Universe version of "As You Were." It helps to know who the Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness are. Not just to understand the fic; everyone should know who the Doctor and Captain Jack are. Really. If you don't, find Season 1 of the new Doctor Who and watch, at the very least, "The Empty Child" and "The Doctor Dances." Spike/Buffy, PG, about 1000 words.

Romantic Dinner is one of a series set in a mildly AU late Season 4 or early Season 5. Spike is in love with Joyce, Dawn doesn't exist, and wackiness is usually ensuing. thedeadlyhook wanted to know Joyce's idea of a romantic dinner. About 3000 words.

There's one more, a Spike/Buffy sequel to "Sweet Lethe," but I've htmled 'til I can't html any more. At least not on a work night.

New Year's Resolution? Write. Update.

October 8, 2007 Now that summer is finally over and my RL is settling down a little, I've had more time to write. I've posted a new chapter of Pillow Talk, as well as a few other things that have been percolating and suddenly reached critical mass.  More Pillow Talk as well as a couple of other stories will be coming soon as well.

Spike/Joyce ficlets:

Who's the Green-Eyed Monster? Set after the snippet that follows Present Tense varina8 asked how Buffy coped with the knowledge that her mother was sleeping with Spike, and this fic was the result.

One of the fun things about this pairing is that I get to write an emotionally much younger Buffy than I usually do. I also enjoyed giving Spike the last word. About 940 words.

Mother Knows Best (But she's not foolish enough to come out and say so.) sammywol wanted to know how Joyce would keep her resolution to break up Buffy and Riley if the affair got too serious. It took 910 words.

July 23, 2007 I posted Chapter 5 of the second part of Pillow Talk. Part I is finished, with 30 chapters posted. Three parts are planned. (NC-17, about 50,000 words in Part I.)

Thanks to the Fang Fetish Awards for recognizing If it's Tuesday, this must be Sunnydale in the first Best of the Best round, and for nominating Present Tense in the Best of Rare Pairings for Round 7.

I had some computer problems that led to my needing a new laptop.  I suspect that some emails I'd downloaded to the deceased machine were lost.  If you tried to contact me and I didn't answer, I'm sorry.

I did hear about these, although a little late in one case!  Thanks to the Love’s Last Glimpse Awards and the Fang Fetish Awards.

April 30, 2007  I posted three more chapters of the second part of Pillow Talk, bringing Part II up to four chapters. Part I is finished, with 30 chapters posted. Three parts are planned. (NC-17, about 50,000 words in Part I.)

Some people have asked me about update notifications. I don't know how to set up a notification system, but I've been posting my updates on Just Rewards, a fic archive, and I'm slowly posting all my fic there. Athenewolfe, the site owner, has set it up to send emails when any fic designated a favorite is updated. Membership is free, and there is a lot of great fic on that site. The same is true of Vampire's Kiss and Elysian Fields, which are Spike/Buffy-only archives.

Some of my non-Spuffy stories were recognized at Harem of Spike. Thanks to the judges for both the awards and their kind words about the fics.

A Two-Part Harmony also won Best Het Fic and a thumbs-up from Giles in the Wanton Folly Awards.

And my silly Spuffy story, If it's Tuesday, this must be Sunnydale got these at Spark and Burn. Thanks!

April 14, 2007 I was going through my fics while posting on an archive, and I discovered I'd never added this one to the site.

Smoke Gets in Your Eyes Conversations set during “Dirty Girls,” after Faith talks to Spike in the basement, but before Buffy decides to go searching for Caleb. Written for a ficathon. (G)

April 8, 2007 I posted Chapter 1 of the second part of Pillow Talk. Part I is finished, with 30 chapters posted. Three parts are planned. (NC-17, about 50,000 words in Part I.)

February 19, 2007 I posted Chapter 30 of Pillow Talk. I also added a page of links to the individual chapters. This fic begins as Buffy tries to cope in early Season 6, and begins to deviate from canon after a few chapters. A slight change in circumstances, a different decision or two, and you wind up with very different results.

I've taken the story from one kind of pillow talk to another, and this chapter marks the end of Part I. Part I is finished, with 30 chapters posted. Three parts are planned. (NC-17, about 50,000 words)

February 16, 2007 I have the next chapter of Pillow Talk back from my betas, and I promise it will be up very soon. Monday at the latest. In the meantime, I've posted a fic I wrote for enigmaticblues' 2007 Random Acts of Kindness Valentine's Day exchange.

Giftless is my take on the theme of Spike searching for a suitable gift for Buffy. It's Valentine's Day, and Spike isn't just giftless, he's clueless. Rated PG. About 7,000 words.

Some more awards and nominations: A Two-Part Harmony was nominated in Best of Rare Pairings, Best Short Completed Fic, and Best M/F Fic at the Fang Fetish Awards, and If it's Tuesday, this must be Sunnydale for Most Original Element (Demon School) , Best Light-hearted, and Best unrecognized, completed fic. Quick and Bitter, Slow and Sweet was nominated for Best Spike/Tara and A Two-Part Harmony for best Spike/Harmony at the Harem of Spike Awards. Chiaroscuro was Runner-Up for Best Saga in Round 18 of the Love's Last Glimpse Awards and Cubed got a Runner-Up for Best Comedy/Fluff in the Year's Best there. Thanks!

January 4, 2007 I posted three more chapters of Pillow Talk. I also added a page of links to the individual chapters.

If it's Tuesday, this must be Sunnydale has been nominated in Round Two of the Spark and Burn Awards for Best Comedy/Fluff, Best Buffy Characterization, and Best Alternate Reality. Thanks!

December 30, 2006 I posted five more chapters of of Pillow Talk that were previously up on my Live Journal, and I've sent three more to beta. It's up to 26 posted chapters now. There's a lot more plot to come, but the next few chapters should mark the end of the first part, at least.

Happy New Year!

November 9, 2006 I signed up to write a fic for the Seasonal_Spuffy community on Live Journal. If it's Tuesday, this must be Sunnydale is set in the same silly 'verse as Cubed and What's in a Name. This world is a version of S6 that is so AU it's nearly angst-free. Buffy either didn't die at the end of S5 or was happy to come back. Everyone gets along, more or less, at least until someone gets a really nifty notion. The story is complete at around 23,000 words. That's much longer than I'd planned, but these things happen.

Harry from Cubed won as Most Original Demon at the Fang Fetish Awards. I can't tell you how tickled I am to get this on Harry's behalf. But I know I'm not half as pleased as he would be!

I've gotten several chapters of Pillow Talk back from my beta readers, so they should be up soon.

October 26, 2006 Pillow Talk has been nominated for Best WIP, Comedy/Fluff, Buffy Characterization, and Original Character (Nancy) at the 17th Round of the Love’s Last Glimpse Awards. And I was nominated for Best Author. Thanks!

October 11, 2006
Yes, two updates in two days! Chapter 21 of Pillow Talk is posted.

October 10, 2006
I posted four new chapters of Pillow Talk my Spike/Buffy work-in-progress , and a Tara/Anya fic, Sitting on the Dock of eBay. Both were already published on my Live Journal. (I promise to work harder at keeping this site up-to-date.)

July 19, 2006 I posted two new chapters of Pillow Talk .

Thank you to the judges at the Love's Last Glimpse Awards for recognizing Cubed.

And thanks to the judges at the Fang Fetish Awards.

Quick and Bitter, Slow and Sweet was first runner-up for Best Het, and I received a Judge's Pick for Chiaroscuro.

July 5, 2006 I posted Chapter 13 of Pillow Talk on my journal but seem to have forgotten to post it here. My bad. Chapter 14 is up as well now.

June 18, 2006 Posted several fics previously posted on my Live Journal:

What's in a Name? is a Spike/Buffy fairy tale of a sort. A very silly sort. Complete, rated R, about 6,000 words.

Chapter Five, Spikeship Troopers, and Chapter Six, The Wrath of Spike, of A Bug on the Cosmic Windscreen.

This Girl is a Stencil   (Doctor Who, Ninth Doctor)  Rose is fascinated by the "missing person" posters Jackie had printed.   (355 words, G)

May 31, 2006 I've posted a new fic, "What's in a Name?" on LJ. I should have the pages up here soon, but I've been saying that every day for a month, so in the meantime, you can read it here and here. Set in a silly, fluffy AU Season 6, this was written for the latest round of Seasonal Spuffy. The theme was fairytales. I tried to pick a romantic one. I really, really did. Can't succeed at everything, can I? Rated R.

I've also posted two new chapters of face A Bug on the Cosmic Windscreen on LJ here and here. Again, I haven't had time to make the web pages. (It's all my employer and my family's fault. Really. It's not like I've been goofing off watching "Doctor Who" or something. BTW, have you seen Tennant in the role yet? I miss Eccleston--actually I still miss Tom Baker--but RAWR!)

More Pillow Talk has been written and some of it is back from beta, so I had better get moving on it.

Chiaroscuro has been nominated at the Fang Fetish Awards for Best Alternate Reality, Most Original Fiction, and Best Saga. Cubed has been nominated for Best Sleeper, Most Original Demon or Vampire (oh, how Harry would love winning that!) and Best Long.

Cubed has been nominated for Best Long Story, Best Comedy/Fluff, Best Plot, and Best Original Character (Harry just squeed with excitement again!) at the Love's Last Glimpse Awards.

Thanks!

March 6 , 2006 Pillow Talk has been nominated for Best WIP and Best Comedy/Fluff at the Love's Last Glimpse Awards.

And Wear that or I'm Calling the Whole Thing Off was runner-up for Best Romance at the Angels Without Wings Awards.

March 6, 2006 Posted "Spiiiiike in Space ," Chapter Four of A Bug on the Cosmic Windscreen.

Pillow Talk is progressing in a non-linear fashion. I promise to try to write the next chapter instead of just a chapter so that I can post soon.

February 19, 2006 Cubed has been nominated for Best Spuffy Fluff, Best Long Fic and Most Original Demon in the Fang Fetish Awards. I'm especially excited by the Most Original Demon nomination. Harry would be so thrilled!
