| Several people who are reading A
Bug on the Cosmic Windscreen mentioned they've never
watched the new Battlestar Galactica, so I wrote a guide for
those familiar with Spike, but not Starbuck and Apollo.
Robots called Cylons, some of which look human, killed most real humans for reasons that aren't entirely clear. A few survivors, protected by the Galactica, an outer-space version of an aircraft carrier, are looking for Earth for reasons about which they are not entirely clear either, but they do hope to settle there. "Frak" is a swear word. Kara, aka Starbuck: Best pilot in the fleet. Crazy. Hot. Is a girl. Lee Adama, aka Apollo: Lead pilot, aka CAG. Hot. Son of the Battlestar's Commander, played by Eddie Olmos, who is surprisingly hot. Laura Roslin: Former Secretary of Education. Became President after the Cylon attack and totally rocks at the job. Makes incredibly tough decisions but never takes them lightly. Has visions but isn't crazy. Dying of cancer. Hot. Gaius Baltar: Supposed genius. Was unwittingly responsible for the destruction of most of humanity, although only the gorgeous Cylon living inside his head knows this. Crazy, egotistical, and completely untrustworthy. Hot when he's not being way too irritating. Sharon Valerii, aka Boomer, aka Number Eight: There are many versions of this Cylon. One of them, code named Boomer, was shot after she attempted to kill Commander Adama. Another is jailed on the Galactica and pregnant. The father is Carl Agathon, aka Helo. Both are hot. Number Six: Blond Cylon who tricked Baltar into letting her destroy most of humanity. One version appears to live in Baltar's head. Gina, another copy, is (in my story) captive on the Galactica. So hot she sizzles. A
BSG Fan's Guide to Spike
(Extremely, Extremely Abridged Edition) Spike: A vampire who has been through a lot of canonical and fanonical changes. At the time of this story, he has a soul. Annoying, easily bored, and occasionally insightful. Has amazing blue eyes. Hot.
