(Bolkcom) Lloyd: I graduated from Illinois
State University and moved to Maryland in 1986. I lived in Annapolis, MD area
until 2003. I traveled with my job and have enjoyed many trips to Bangkok,
Europe, Alaska, Greece and the Caribbean.
Married John Lloyd in 1994 and have two children, Shannon (1997) and
Patrick (1999). We currently reside in New Bern, NC where I have worked out of
my home since 1997 for an environmental firm doing work for the U.S. military.
We are members of St Paul Catholic Church and I work in the St Paul elementary
school library as a part-time librarian. I substitute teach for elementary
school and am considering becoming a full-time teacher. I am an amateur
photographer and have made an extensive digital library of my family photos
including the Bolkcom family photo collection.
I am happy to be in touch still with friends from Alleman.

Bush. He is Vice- President of Bush Seeding Company; recently became a
Certified Sports Turf Manager. Three children: Sarah, 21, a junior
at Drake Universtiy, Nathan, 18, a freshman at the University of North Dakota,
Amanda, 16, a junior at Alleman.
My favorite quote is

Carole (Butts)
Keleher (Somersworth, NH): I graduated from
the University of Illinois, Springfield campus in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree
in Psychology. Upon graduation I began
a twenty year career in social services.
I have had a variety of jobs, from being an in-home Family Counselor, to
a Child Abuse Investigator for the Portsmouth Police department. I ended my social services career as the
Operations Director at Families First of the Greater Seacoast, a non profit health center here in New
Hampshire. After taking a few months
off, I began working part time as an Executive Assistant to the President of
marketing company. I also enjoy
volunteering at my daughter’s school.
I met my husband, Dan in
college, and we were married in 1988.
We moved with his company, Liberty Mutual, to New Hampshire the day
after we got married. Dan left Liberty
a few years ago and is now the Vice President of Viper Consulting. We love it here, and would miss the
mountains and the ocean if we ever have to leave.
We were blessed with a
daughter, Jackie, in 1995. She is a
sixth grader at Portsmouth Christian Academy.
She is a true New Englander, who spends most of her summers at science
camp exploring our “rocky coast”. We
love to hunt, (upland game birds, turkey and deer) fish, hike, canoe and camp
and in the winter ski both downhill and cross country. We also enjoy traveling, and have managed to
see a lot of this country as well as parts of Canada and Mexico. We try to get back to IL to see family and
get our Whitey’s and Harris fix about once a year.
I can’t believe it has been 25 years. One of my biggest regrets is not keeping in touch with friends from Alleman. I think of you often, and hope life has been treating you well. Remember the rooster and the fish.

Dann Cornelis (Rock Island, IL): Life has certainly changed in a wonderful way since our last reunion! I met the girl of my dreams Ann Timm (Rocky ’85) and we were married on May 27th of this year. It was an awesome celebration followed by a honeymoon in Hawaii. We are definitely going back! With my 3 kids: Zack 24, Betsy 19, and Hope 16, and Ann’s 4 kids: Ashton 15, Tyler 13, Greyson 9, Lauren 8, and superdog Brody, we have formed our own “Corny Bunch.” Each and every one of them bless us in their own special way. Ann is a surgical nurse at Iowa Plastic Surgery, and I am still in advertising, currently as an Account Executive at CBS4 TV in Rock Island. We obviously stay very busy with all the kids sports, and Hope, Ashton, Grey and Lauren’s plays and musicals. We all are very involved in TEC (Teens Encounter Christ), and active in our faith. Ashton will hopefully be making her first TEC this year. I am definitely a golf nut, and Ann is picking up the game, as well. We enjoy live music and volunteer at Bluesfest and other events in the QC’s. We live in Rock Island. I will always look back fondly to our crazy days at Alleman. I can’t believe it’s been 25 years. I still look so young and bald.

(Darrow) Carroll (Davenport, IA): I can’t
believe how time flies! I’m married to
Tom Carroll. He is a commercial real estate developer. My girls are getting older, as we all are. Carrie is a nurse in cardiac intensive care
at the University of Chicago and is attending Rush University pursuing a nurse
anesthetist degree. Cassandra is a
sophomore at Loras College in Dubuque. Courtney is a senior at Bettendorf
High School and plans to attend University of Iowa next year. I have
three step-children. Kristin is a sophomore at Indiana, Tommy is a
sophomore at Assumption High School and Sara is in 6th grade at Lourdes
Catholic School in Bettendorf.
We live on #7 green at Crow
Valley Golf Club in Davenport. In my
free time I play tennis and golf. We
have been lucky enough to travel quite a bit during the winters so we can play
year round.
I have a double major in
Accounting and Finance from Augustana College and an MBA from St. Ambrose
University. I work for John Deere
in Corporate Cost Management.
Pam (DeBo) Ontiveros
(Bettendorf, IA): I've been married to Chris for
21 years and we have three daughters, Maria 17, Allie 15, and Dana 11. I recently opened a women's clothing store,
"Charm Boutique" in Bettendorf, Iowa. I've always loved fashion and shopping and enjoy meeting new
people, so it's the perfect fit for me at this time in my life. I look forward
to seeing everyone in September!
John DeDoncker
(Bettendorf, IA): I reside in Bettendorf with my
wife, Jody and our two sons Will and Walt (soon to be 16 and 13). Will
has become an accomplished young golfer and we enjoy watching his summer
tournaments and fall high school matches. Walt plays golf, football and
travel hockey which keeps us busy year round. A new Vizsla puppy has made
an already busy household even busier. Jody and I enjoy traveling, both
with family and with our friends, and we try to get out of the Midwest several
times a year. In my free time, I enjoy playing golf (even though it’s
tough when my kids beat me). I also like participating in running events
and triathlons. I survived (barely) the 2004 Wisconsin Ironman.
I’ve forgotten how painful it was and signed up for the Ironman Arizona in
Tempe this April. I’ve run in the past five Quad City Marathons and am
signed up for this September’s run.
I’m currently the President
and CEO of THE National Bank headquartered in the Quad-Cities. I left the
Quad City law firm of Lane & Waterman at the end of 2000 (after over 12
years there) to start the bank in January 2001. We now have 23 locations
with 12 branches in the QCA. We’re the largest community owned bank in
the area and employ approximately 350 people. New bank locations are
under construction in the Western Chicago suburbs (Yorkville and Elgin) as well
as the Twin-Cities (Eagan). We currently have a branch in Edina,
Mn. We try to make banking fun and give away gifts like rolling coolers,
sandwich makers, digital cameras and binoculars (but not toasters) for new
checking accounts. Fr. Mirabelli will find a way to have me pay for the
commercial. More about the bank at www.thenb.com.
It’s hard to believe that
25-years have passed since high school. I regret that I’ve not done a
better job staying in touch with my friends from high school, but hope to catch
up at the reunion.

Lauren (DeWilde)
Stirrett (Hampton, IL): I still remain in
the Quads...have never left...never will..I love to travel and have seen much
of the world...but this is home(currently Hampton, IL). I am in
Medical Device Sales for a global company, KCI, whose home base is
San Antonio, TX...I am married to Scott and we celebrate our 5 yr anniversary
this September.
As for everything else...I
believed that I had reached my epiphany in life when in 2003 I completed the
Ironman Wisconsin.
I remember when I was much
younger sitting on the couch smoking a cigarette and watching the Hawaii
Ironman on TV and thinking wow it would be cool to do that...so I quit
smoking...started running...started swimming...and biking and I actually did an
Ironman...
It was my crowning
achievement...or so I thought...than in 2005 my epiphany presented itself to me
in the form of my son Riley...I waited 41 years to have him...well worth the
wait...but he's two now...I am thinking of putting him on
ebay...everyone...please look...he's very cute...
Comments on being out of high
school 25 years...It truly doesn't seem much different. I am still best
friends with the same girls I walked out of Alleman with. I still feel 18
at times...and love that...it is not pleasant to think about the passage of
time and the aging process, but all in all...life is good. I think that
the 80's decade rocked... I'm not happy to be in my 40s but my son keeps me
young and Botox keeps wrinkles off my forehead...yes, go ahead and look...I no
longer am doing Ironmans but I continue to run/bike and try to keep in
shape...I keep in touch w/my best friends...and we are going through our
post-Alleman years together...how nice is that??!!

(Rock Island, IL): I've been happily married to
JoBeth for over 13 years. We have 3
beautiful
children (they didn't get it
from me), Kelsey (12), Molly (10), and Gannon
(7). They are all students at Jordan Catholic
School and are involved in
softball, baseball, cross
country, basketball, flag football, and piano.
Gannon is especially talented
in the art of annoying his sisters and
terrorizing the family
dog. We enjoy outdoor activities such
as camping,
swimming, bike riding, playing
golf, etc. This past summer we pulled
our
trailer (I made JoBeth do
most of the pulling) to the Black Hills area of
South Dakota and camped near
Mt. Rushmore. It was very scenic and
awe
inspiring. I really enjoyed my time at Alleman (maybe a
little too much
fun). It does not seem like 25 years have
passed. But I still feel like an
Alleman kid by attending
football and basketball games and donating as best
I can to their various
needs. I even converted JoBeth to the
Green & White
from that undesirable color
combination of Maroon & White. What
is a Maroon
anyway? I've worked on the Arsenal for over 18 years
as a Supply Systems
Analyst. Fellow '82 classmate Connie (Sergeant)
Schultz also works in my
office, which makes for some
humorous conversations. All in all,
life is
good, and am looking forward
to our reunion weekend. Go Pioneers!

(Fischer) Stewart: Currently living in
Belvidere, IL and married for 7 years to Joe Stewart. We have 3 kids.
Matt and Mike are 15 and sophomores at Boylan High School and Whitney, will
be14 in October. She is an 8th Grader at Holy family in Rockford.
I'm an IT ANALYST (Computer Programmer) for John Deere. I've been with
Deere for 18 years, the last 7 years I've been working from my home.
My husband and I built a
house in the woods outside of Rockford. I love to feed the animals.
We have wild deer, fox, coyote, peacocks, turkeys, raccoons that run through
the yard. My niece, Sabrina (Tara and John Schroeder's middle child)
calls my house Noah's arc. (haha) LIFE IS GOOD!
Brad Foley Rock Island, IL
Cindy (Frey)
Forgie (St. Augustine, FL): Terry and I have
been married for 17 years and have 2 children, Michael who turned 16 in July
and Danielle who will be 13 next week.
Michael is a Junior at St.
Joseph Academy and played football and ran track the last 2 years and wants to
try swimming this year. He just got his license and although he is a good
driver... it brings a whole new perspective to worrying!
Danielle is in the 7th
grade at Cathedral Parish School. and plays soccer and volleyball for school,
and year round club soccer for St. Augustine. She is a straight A student
and a talented and creative "chef" to be... look for her on the food
channel in the years to come!
Terry is the District Manager
for Budget Trucks for South Georgia and North Florida and has been with the
company for 23 years. He plays basketball and softball and we have both
been golfing a little in our "spare" time!
I work in the front office at
Cathedral Parish elementary school and love it! It is a fun job that is
different everyday. I love the children and even working with the
parents. When I am not running kids around after school, I enjoy walking,
bike riding, and have recently started golfing and jogging. We also play
a lot of family sports such as "soccer tennis"
I would like to take an extra
paragraph for my brother's sake, since he is not in the position to brag.
His daughter (with Annette Marinelli- Assumption grad '82) is 23 years old and
graduated from St. Leo's University. She is a manager for an Italian
restaurant in the Tampa area and is a beautiful, smart woman.
It is so hard to believe it
has been 25 years. When you think that your children are in the midst of
what you remember... it is an exciting and very scary time... if only we were
as naive as our parents were... life would be much less stressful!

Brehmer (Eldridge, IA): Married to Bill
Brehmer, for 20 years this May. We live in Eldridge
Iowa. We have 1 daughter, Jenna, who will be 9 years old in
October. She is in 3rd grade at Alan Shepard Elementary in Long Grove
Iowa. She is active in soccer, and dances with Tina's Dance Studio in
Eldridge. I am employed at THE National Bank. I am the Assistant Retail
Services Manager/Personal Banker at the Jersey Ridge & 53rd Street Branch
in Davenport. In our spare time we like to go camping.
In some ways I can't believe
that we graduated from Alleman 25 years ago, but then again at times it seems
like forever ago.
Theresa
(Gende) Clouser (Simi Valley, CA): I
am married to Eric Clouser, and have a son Evan (3-1/2) who loves to play
baseball. We live in Simi Valley, California about an hour north of Los
Angeles. I am an Executive Director in Global Oncology Marketing at Amgen, the
world’s largest biotech company; I work on preparing novel targeted anti-cancer
therapies for launch globally. For fun we bike in the nearby mountains or go to
the beach. Most of my family is still in the QC area so we come back often to
visit.
Stacey (Haberman) Drinan Poway, CA
Matt Glancy (Niles,
IL): Been out of high school for 25 years, but
don't feel that old. Been through several jobs and been bought and sold
in the large financial arena more times than I can perhaps count. I have
been a computer geek since graduating from the University Of Illinois, although
as an Associate Director I do much less of the things I enjoyed earlier in my
career. Try to go golfing regularly, although this year has seen me out
the least in many years due to many other commitments. Hopefully will add to
the tally on the 15th. At least I was able to go on our annual fishing
trip to Canada which always is very enjoyable although the 10 days seems to be
too short.
I
have 2 wonderful sons Nathan 7 and Trevor 5. They enjoy
playing baseball and soccer as well as learning to play golf and
basketball. Guess their increased activity has seen a
decrease temporarily in my hobbies, a sacrifice that has been well
worth it.

Company that I owned and operated for 4 years. I recently got engaged and
am marrying on May 17th, 2008 in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. My interests are

(Moline, IL.): I currently reside in Moline,
Illinois and work as a trainer and consultant for the eighteenth largest
privately held company in the Unites States, (according to Forbes Magazine).
As some of you might
recall I spent my senior year as a foreign exchange student to Australia. Upon
my return I enrolled at Loras College where I graduated in 1986 with a BA in
communications.
I then spent six years
on active duty in the Unites States Army as an Attack Helicopter Pilot
achieving the rank of Captain.
After my military
service I found a career in automotive dealerships first in sales then service.
I rose through the system to become a service manager
then eventually a director of service over five stores. It was then that I
got the opportunity to join my present company as a trainer and consultant to
dealerships.
When I am not on the
road I enjoy boating and tinkering on old cars.
I am still wondering
where twenty five years went.
Amy (Luckenbill) Mullane Edwardsville, IL
John Luebbers (Odessa, TX): I have spent most of the past 25 years working as a journalist in
Illinois, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, North Carolina, South Carolina and
Texas. I have been a sports copy editor at The Odessa American in Odessa,
Texas, since May 2005. The oil industry is a big employer in
Odessa, but the city might be even more well-known as the home of Permian High
School, the school on which the book, movie and TV show "Friday Night
Lights" is based.
I also have spent most of the past 25 years looking for Miss Right with little
success, so I remain single -- and seemingly married only to my job. I
enjoy what I do -- playing my role in trying to put out the best sports section
possible every day -- but I sometimes wonder if I ever will be content enough
to stop my wandering ways. Check back in a few years to find out if I
have.
I may be far away from home
now, but Alleman is never far from my mind. As a little way to show my
school pride, I try to wear something green on Fridays, especially during the
school year, as my way to support "that little school on the hill."

Kelan Manning (Dubuque, IA.): I have been married for 17 years and have two boys. Jr. is 16 and Patrick is 12. My wife and kids keep me out of trouble (most of the time). I stay busy with work at John Deere, the boy's sports and other activities, teaching a couple evening courses at a local college, and serving on several boards (most educational and non-profit organizations). I try to keep in shape by swinging a golf club every once in a while, but not much time for that these days. I can't believe it has been 25 years since we graduated from high school. Seems like yesterday to me with lots of good memories.

Kochuyt (Moline, IL.): I am currently residing in Moline with my husband Scott and our 3 boys,
Brandon 21 a junior at WIU, Justin 17 a junior at Moline High, and Ben 12 is in
7th grade. Our lives are pretty busy
just as everyone's seem to be. We are
trying to find a way to slow down now and then to appreciate how blessed we
truly are. I have been a nurse for 18
years and started a business, Med-Law Connection, Inc. 2 years ago. We provide Legal Nurse Consulting services
and work with primarily attorneys on medically related cases. We went national this year! It has been an exciting and scary
venture! But "you never know if
you don't try"!!
I find it hard to believe it
has been 25 years as well, but when you have a son that is 21 ..... ? I am still in touch with several of my
friends from high school and treasure our enduring friendships very much. There is something about knowing everything
about someone and having them know everything about you! I look forward to catching up with those I
haven't seen in September.

Amy (Michalek) Johannsen (Morrison, IL.): Married since 1996 to Keith Johannsen of Morrison, Illinois and have two boys, Kelby, 9 and Avery, 4. Currently I am a letter carrier for USPS in Morrison, Illinois. Am in the US Air Force Reserves in Youngstown, Ohio as an Executive Officer for the 910th Maintenance Group. Currently I am a Captain with over 20 years (that’s counting my 4 years of active duty time).

Bill Mitchell: Currently live in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Married

stays at home and operates a dog breeding business. The dogs are Golden
Retrievers and the kennel name is Mitchell’s Goldmine. I am currently the
General Manager of Lamar Advertising. We live in the country and have 4
horses and a few 4 wheelers which we ride on our trails. Our girls are
involved in dance and gymnastics and the boys in football and wrestling.
We also deer and grouse hunt on our land and spend a great deal of time boating
and fishing. Its incredible how fast time can go by and how quickly you
can lose touch with high school friends. I keep telling my 16 year old
son to enjoy and appreciate every minute of the high school experience.

Laura (Newberry) Vyncke (Moline, IL): I live in Moline. I have 2 daughters. Beth who will be
attending her 2nd year at Alleman and Jennifer who will be in 7th grade at
Seton School. I am a Senior Billing Representative at MidAmerican Energy
and have been employed there for about 18 years.
I married my high school sweetheart, Paul Vyncke, but we divorced in 2001.
I spend my time driving my daughters to the mall, movies, friend’s houses
and anywhere else they need to be.
In my spare time I like to watch movies and do crossword puzzles.
Alleman sure has changed since we attended. I feel like my parents when I
tell Beth, "back when I was in school", but it's true. The
weight room is no longer the weight room and you can walk thru there to get to
the other side, the lobby as we knew it is gone now and the typing room has
been replaced by the computer room. WOW!
Lynn Newenham Chance (Moline, IL): I
reside in Moline with my husband, Derek, and my daughter, Libby (7), who is in
second grade at Seton Catholic School.
Libby is quite a little tumbler.
We are very busy running her around to all her different sports and
other activities. She keeps us young
and on our toes. I have been a medical
transcriptionist for almost 20 years working out of our home the past 7. It’s nice to be able to flex my schedule so
I am able to volunteer at school. I
have also been Libby’s Brownie leader for the past two years. Derek is a telephone technician for Avaya
Communication.
Thoughts on being out of high
school 25 years…it seems just like yesterday.
So far being in my 40’s has been great.
Having a child later in my late 30’s has forced me off the couch and to
get active. Can’t wait to see everyone

and have been married 16 years and have 2 boys 13 and 11. Both boys
attend Seton Catholic School in Moline and will be attending Alleman too!
Dan is very active in coaching , especially baseball. And like many
parents, we are very busy following all of the kids activities. We feel
very fortunate to be living and raising our family in the Quad Cities
where our parents, families and friends are.
Dan

Dan and I have been married for 19 years and have one daughter, Kate (8).
Dan has been the corporate architect for Heart of America Restaurants &
Inns (Moline) for the past 8 years and I am self employed as an insurance agent
for Shelter Insurance Companies (Davenport) for the past 10 years. After
short stints in Chicago and Bloomington, we have lived back in the Quad Cities
since 1991. It's hard to believe 25 years have passed since we roamed the

volunteering at school and church and I work for Coventry Healthcare. We

Chris Patrick (Aurora, IL): I have been married to my wife, Ann, for 13 years. We are blessed with 4 healthy children: Madeline--11 yrs.; Ben and Emily--9(today); and Lily (our little surprise) 3. We currently reside in Aurora, IL. I have been teaching 6th grade for the last 10 years in St. Char;les and am glad to have a job that is exciting and different every single day. Like all of our other classmates, we are busy with life--sports, clubs, friends, etc., but I still try to find some time for the occasional round of golf. I love coming back "home" for a round at the lovely TPC course. It's funny how so many years have passed so quickly since our days of long hair, loud rock music, cards in the cafeteria, or even hiding out in the library, so I can't wait to see so many classmates when I come back for my first class reunion.
Julie (Pauly) Sellers Rock Island, IL

Mason City for 14 years, we thought we’d be here 3-5 years max when we first
moved here. This past spring I completed my Masters in Public
Administration from Drake University and am still the Associate Director for
the North Iowa Area Community College John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center.
The center offers comprehensive entrepreneurial training and support programs
for entrepreneurs, small business owners, communities and students. I
serve on the boards for our local United Way and the Economic Development
Corporation. During the summer you can usually find me one of three
places: we are either at our cabin in Northern Wisconsin, bike racing with the local
group somewhere in Iowa or Minnesota or walking our dog. I could not make
the reunion due to a long standing mountain bike race near our cabin and want
to wish everyone well.

(Sioux Falls, SD): My wife Deena and I have been
married for 21 years. (Thanks to Tim and Gail Bain for setting us up!) We lived
in Green Bay WI when we were 1st married (our oldest son was born there.) Yes
we are die-hard Packer fans! Moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1990, and have been
here ever since. I’m still tuning and restoring pianos. Started playing
keyboards again in a band doing mostly originals. It’s a really good outlet.
The bands website is http://www.goodroadonline.com/.
Andrew is 19 and a freshman
at South Dakota State University majoring is Music Business. He will also have
a vocal minor. Jesse is 15 and a sophomore in high school. He’s involved in
choir and theatre, and is obsessed with playing the guitar. (Don’t know where
he picked that up.) Our little girl Faith is 6 and a 1st grader. She loves to
sing and dance. Somehow she conned her Dad into giving her piano lessons. Like
I’d ever tell her no!
Like a couple of our
classmates, I felt the need to get back into shape, and have done a few
marathons, and even did my 1st triathlon this past summer. I survived.
I really regret not being
able to make it back for the reunion. Faith got sick the week before and missed
quite a bit of school. Hope you are all doing well. You’re in my thoughts and
prayers.

(Muscatine, IA): I still live in Muscatine,
Iowa. It has been 17 years now. This is my 12th. year as a second
grade teacher there. I still use my Spanish with parents and students. I
can't believe I began teaching 22 years ago. Time sure has flown by. I
am still connected to Alleman because both Linda's son, Joey and Lisa's son,
Zach are juniors there. They both play football, so look for them at the
Homecoming Game. My niece Kat is a sophomore at Augustana. If you go to a
sporting event for Augie, you may hear her sing the National Anthem. I am
proud of all three of them. I come home every weekend, so I can be
involved with them. Linda teaches at Seton Catholic School in
Moline, and Lisa works at the Social Security Office in Rock Island. Both
of my parents are still working. They like to go on cruises, so they say
that they have to continue to work. My mom has dinners on Sundays, so we
can all be together. I really love this time. I take care of my
grandma who resides at St. Anthony's Nursing Home. I feel so blessed to
have had her in my life for such a long time. In 2009, we are planning a
family cruise even the kids are coming along. It will be my first
one. I am very excited. See all of you in September!

George Shank (Chelsea, IA): George Shank (Long Grove, IA) My wife Sheryl and I celebrated out
20th wedding anniversary in August. We have twin sons (Jameson and
Jonathan) that have just started their freshman year at North Scott High School
in Eldridge, IA. This October, we will have lived at the same address for
5 years, which is the longest time in one spot since getting married-- I must
say that's enjoyable. In 1984, I began working for Grainger
Industrial Supply in Des Moines, IA moved to Michigan in 1987, to Northern
California in 1992 and returned "my Iowa girl" to her home state
in 2001. I am currently the Branch Manager of the Grainger
location in Davenport. Work & kids take up the majority of our time,
but our passion has been (domestic) travel, having visited all 50 states
over the first 19 years of marriage. Our plans are to GO INTERNATIONAL in
2008, the US Virgin Islands in the spring.

Medlin (Lexington, NC): I've been living in
Lexington, NC for 19 years and love it here. I'm lucky enough to enjoy
living on a lake and spending time on the water daily. My only daughter
Amber is now 23. I think of myself at that age and know how blessed I am
that she is growing to be an intelligent, vibrant and independent young
adult. (The only draw back is she has become a professional student with
still another year and a half to go.)
I have a challenging
profession of 13 years managing a sales team of 10 in the telecommunication
industry…never a dull moment.
I'm married to Mike and enjoy
entertaining, mixology, gardening, cooking, reading and classic movies.
We've had the great fortune of traveling the states and a trip to Italy with
lots of ideas for other adventures.
As always I look forward to
my journey back to the QC's in September! (and Harris pizza!!)

Steve Thompson (Rock Island, IL): My wife
Kathi and I will be celebrating our 23rd anniversary this coming November. I still work at MidAmerican Energy (22 years
now…they keep paying me, I’ll keep showing up!) We have two kids…Nathan, 12, who is a 7th grader at Jordan, and
Abigail, 10, a 5th grader there as well.
Our time is taken up by their schedules. Kathi has coached Abby in softball…and is considering coaching
her basketball team as well. I have
helped coach Nathan’s basketball team for the last 3 years. Nathan also plays baseball in the summer for
the Quad City Hitmen. Kathi and I kid
Nathan by telling him we ensure that he makes the team each year by our
involvement with the Hitmen (Steve: President, coach, tournament director, PR
director; Kathi: Treasurer, Uniform and Equipment coordinator). My summer goal with our baseball involvement
is to keep the yard looking just good enough so the neighbors don’t call the
city on us!
I’ve gotten into photography
quite a bit lately, and have dabbled on a volunteer basis with some very basic
web design (helping with the Hitmen, Jordan Catholic Schools and Teens
Encounter Christ websites). We camp
occasionally as well. Time flies too
darn fast. It’ll be good to touch base
with many friends that we just don’t see much of anymore. Relationships really are the stuff of life!

(Milan, IL) I married Tracey (Bosso – class of
1984) in 1989 and graduated from WIU in 2000. I work out of my home as a
commercial insurance underwriter for Selective Insurance out of New Jersey so I
travel once a year to northern NJ area and have yet to get to NY City (but hope
to next year). Our son John is 15 and a sophomore at Alleman playing football
and basketball. Lexy is in 7th grade at Jordan and does competitive dance and
ASA softball (80 games a year). I am still involved in TEC (26 years) and still
having fun every day of my life. I like working in the yard and am great at
starting multiple projects around the house. We have an exchange student from
Germany this year and had one from Hong Kong last year. We like to travel and
have seen London, Panama, Hawaii, Van Couver, and different countries in the
Caribbean.

Parys (Moline, IL): As many of you, I can’t
say where the last 25 years gone, but I can tell you the last 5 have been
pretty eventful. We’ve had sorrow filled times and sad endings, but joyful
moments and new beginnings as well. An emotional roller coaster, to say the
least. In the midst of it all, my children continued to grow and keep their
mother on the fast track, I’m thankful for them keeping me focused on the
blessings that they are to me. Zachary is 24, on the road, selling his music
and magazines, traveling more in his young years than I have in my life. Betsy
is 19, a student at Black Hawk and working hard at being an independent,
responsible young adult. She’s pretty cute driving around town in her little
convertible. Hope is a junior at Alleman this year, on student council, playing
soccer and singing in the Fall musical. She’s a straight A student and
beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.
My husband of 1 year, Joseph
and I bought a new (100 years old) home this Summer and have been working our
little fingers to the bone, getting it ready to move into. In our spare (!)
time, we like to golf and fish in Arkansas where we have a little home away
from home on a lake. I also like to walk, read, shop and cook, which has lead
me to a new position working for Diane DeBord Catering which I am enjoying.
I hope this year finds all of
our classmates happy and in good health, looking forward to seeing you all!!

plastic surgeon. In my spare time...(what spare time!!!) I run my 3
children to their various sporting events and activities. My children are
Austin--14, Sabrina--10, Alexa--8, Husband-Brad, dog-Tabitha. I
spend most of my life sitting on a bleacher somewhere, watching one of them. I
do like to scrapbook, but I am way behind on that!!!!! We did manage a

Currently I reside in Moline, IL with my husband Pete (Moline Class of 1983) of
almost 17 years, son Michael a junior and daughter Alexis a freshman at Moline
High School. We also have a golden retriever Annie (anniversary present)
and a black lab named Ivy (after Wrigley Field – Go Cubbies!). We, like
many, are constantly at the ball fields and gymnasiums that include soccer and
baseball for Michael and volleyball and basketball for Lexie. Oh,
remember how short I am?……………..Michael just had his sports physical and he is
6’1 and a half and weighs 223 and my daughter at last measurement was just shy
of 5’10”, hence the choice of sports. I have been with the law firm of
Califf & Harper, P.C. (with classmate Jim Zmuda and Jen Fox’s father Dennis

Memories of our deceased classmates:
Tina Johnson – “Each of them blessed our lives and many other lives while on this earth and the memories we will always hold dear to our hearts. So God bless all, for you ARE and will continue to be greatly missed! “
Annmarie Templeton – “I have fond memories of all of all our lost classmates, each one of them touched me personally spanning from my years at the Villa, through Jordan and then Alleman. The special times we shared have had a profound impact on my life which I am truly thankful for having known each. I'll especially miss my friend Barb who was a dear friend to me. I pray they are all in the safe hands of the Lord.”
Lauren DeWilde – “Thoughts on those who have left us. Geez...I can't even think of what to say. Everyone has memories...but I remember the last time I saw Theresa...I was working at Trinity...as a Case Manager...called to see a patient about some type of issue...and it was Theresa...she was on the Oncology floor...she knew who I was right away...I didn't recognize her at first...for very simple reasons...why would I ever think that I would see someone I graduated with in a hospital room with terminal cancer?? It made no sense...and I was so overwhelmed...she was very strong...knew where she was going...in a way I envied her for her strength...for I don't think I would be that tolerant of facing the end...
I haven't seen Barb in years...but I will miss her so much...I didn't know she had died for quite a while...I don't know how I missed it, but I did...I will regret not being able to say goodbye...what an amazing woman...”
Mike Vande Moortel – “During the years Theresa battled cancer I saw her at Jordan School often due to our kids going to school there. She always had a smile on her face no matter what kind of day she had. My motto – “Life is short so live every day of your life.
My memory of Barb was back in 1989 when 6 of us were newly married (and before kids) and went to an Eddie Money concert together. We drove some crappy rusted station wagon of another friend. I remember Barb laughing so hard and making fun of it. She knew how to have fun yet appreciated life at the same time. I did not see her much in last 10 years but knew she loved her family and enjoyed what little time she had here.”
LuAnn Senger – “Memory of Theresa: As all of you know, Theresa was a very good friend of mine. I think of her often. Every October I remember her birthday. Our special memories together were going to movies and just sitting at her condo and catching up. I agree even to her last day, she had a great attitude and a smile on her face. She had tremendous strength, and I am sure that is what Dan saw in her. I know her son will always remember that determination as well as her compassion. May god bless her family always.”
Steve Thompson – “Barb was first class all the way. She had time for anyone…and the best compliment I could have given her was “what you see is what you get”. While her time was short, I think it’s plain to see that she completed the job God gave her to do.
I have many varied memories of my friend, Jeff. Jeff turned out to be his own worse enemy in many ways, and that is too bad. As I repeatedly tell my son, the quality of our lives is based on the choices we make. Jeff would pop in and out of our life, seemingly each time he would try to follow bad choices up with better ones. Kathi and I were blessed to spend considerable time with Jeff and his wife Gloria during one of his better stretches. Ultimately, his bad choices did get the best of him. During a recently completed camping trip with some friends, I overheard my rambunctious son tell the younger, and equally rambunctious son of our friend (while trying to settle him down) “Name, you actually are a lot of fun to be around when you’re not doing that stuff!” Those words applied to my friend Jeff as well…I do take comfort in my belief that he is in a better place.”
Chris Cornlis-Sanchez – “We all remember Barb as being fun loving and easy going, and although she dealt with a lot in her life, she did it all with a smile on her face, sometimes even through tears. But, as Cindy and I talked with her about, there was never anything she ever did in her life more gracefully, elegantly or more respectfully as she spent the last months of her life.
Barb lost the use of the right side of her body and her speech was also quite limited, but she still always had a smile, could still laugh and would reach out her hand in friendship and comfort. Because even though we thought we were there to comfort Barb, she was the one comforting us and helping us deal with her illness. Kelly can attest, Barb was more concerned about us and what was going on in our lives, than she was dwelling on what was happening to her. Her girls were the lights of her life, as was her very devoted husband Mike. Please keep Barb’s family and the families of all of our dear departed classmates in your prayers, as they deal with the loss of precious loved ones.”
Lynn (Newenham) Chance – “I have great memories of all our classmates whose lives were unfairly taken at such young ages when they had so much to offer. Jill’s great smile….Mike’s crazy sense of humor…Days at Jordan & Alleman with Jeff…Attending classes at Black Hawk College with Theresa…and growing up in the neighborhood with Tom “Zeeta” Mrazek. I was fortunate enough to make several trips to Clinton to visit with Barb as she was battling cancer. She was so brave through it all. At first I was hesitant to go and see her feeling very uncomfortable thinking, “What do I say to her”, but Barb immediately put me at ease. She was always very hospitable. We would sit and reminisce about high school and all the crazy things we did. On my last visit just two weeks prior to her death she said, “Lynn, I’m going to make you laugh until I die”…and she did!”
Cindy (Frey) Forgie – “For deceased classmates: There is a saying about how some people are in our lives for a short time, and others are with us throughout our lives, but each leaves something important behind to those they have touched. I believe this is true, and depending on how much time we spent, or how close we were determines how deep our loss. I still miss my brother Mike everyday... not only for who he was, but for who he never got to be... a father, an uncle, the best man at my wedding, the family that I didn't get to have over for Sunday cookouts... the list goes on. I miss Barb, my friend and "sis" everyday. I still pick up the phone to call her about good news, and bad. I miss our slumber parties, and family vacations. I know her daughters are doing okay, though they miss her. But it is just like I told her... "they will be okay- because of who you are and how you have raised them". Barb was a terrific person, who definitely lived her faith! I miss Jill, her smile, her strength, her wisdom. I pray for each and every one of our classmates every Sunday and I know tonight they are all celebrating together- and what a party that must be! Wango Tango! I love and miss each one of you!”
Laura (Newberry)
Vyncke – “Unfortunately, my memory is not as good as it used to be so I
don’t have any good stories about Teresa Haronik but I do remember that she was
a nice person and a good friend who would do anything for you.”
