I was born in Alabama on a cold dark December night in 1951. My parents were poor working
class moral people. There were five of us kids sharing one
bedroom. The two boys slept in one bed while the three girls
slept in the other. Lucky me, being the youngest, I got to sleep
in the middle. I believe to this day that is why I treasure my
personal space so much.
I
grew up. My life was hard. Wasn't yours? I know but for the
grace of God at thirty-nine, okay fifty-three years of age, I would not still be walking
His Earth today. I believe that we all have a mission. Some of
us never know what that mission is. Others are fortunate enough
to have a second chance, or more! One only has to listen. One
has to listen very hard and to believe. The choice is yours, it
is called free will.
My
objective while making this page is to share a little of what I
have learned with you as well as have fun doing it. I hope you
enjoy the adventure.
I am adding poems when I have the chance. This is a fun page, most of my pages don't have graphics like this.
I also try to squeeze in a little writing, a little life and a little sanity in my day. At present I am working under great duress as my parrots are spoiled rotten and screaming at the top of their lungs.
This is my fault, not theirs. Somebody kick me, hard.
Oh, and they don't just scream, they vocalize very well, especially my African Grey, Darlin'. They all talk, incessantly.
That is why I caution people on my Critter's page to be very careful before you add pets to your household, they become family. You can't just say, hey -- this is too much, I don't have a life I'll get rid of ... yeah, who? Which child can you part with today?
I should have stopped at one but I'm not real smart. Ever read "The Parrot who Owns Me?" Well I have five that own me and two cats and a very protective and jealous border collie. I was the kid who brought every stray home...you know the type.
Enough of that! Just know that I think you will be presently surprised with "My Life," pages (not that my life is more interesting than most - actually it is! But will I ever tell?)
When I feel like it (not deathly sick), I write in a Blog...click on the 'dear blog graphic' to go there. I am getting kind of tired of it, who cares about my life anyway?
What's all the 'peace' stuff for? I grew up in the turbulent '60's! For you younger folk, you really had to be there. (Yes, some of us are still alive and burning our bras and stuff like that.)
Peace & Love,
PS: I started to change this page to a more sensible layout and graphics, but I LOVE it the way it is!!!!! Every word, every symbol on here means something. Sorry!!

Actually this ring is abandoned. If someone doesn't take it soon, I'm taking it down.
In My Life
In My Life
"I wrote that at Kenwood. I wrote it upstairs, that was one where I wrote the lyrics first and then sang it. That was usually the case with things like 'In My Life' and 'Universe' and some of the ones that stand out a bit." John Lennon
There are places I'll remember
all my life, though some have changed
some forever, not for better
some have gone and some remain
with lovers and friends I still can recall
some are dead and some are living
in my life I loved them all
But of all those friends and lovers
there is no one compared with you
and these memories lose their meaning
when I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
for people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
in my life I'll love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection
for people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
in my life I'll love you more
In my life I'll love you more
