For the topic "Life, Recycled" THIS HARD WIND again chose one of my poems which was to be published on-line in their May 2004 issue. I was deeply hurt and yes, angry, when I was NOT notified that THIS HARD WIND was suddenly taken over by another magazine! This hurt is combined when I factor in the fact that the Editor of the new magazine is purported to be my dear friend.

It is the poets that make the zines and magazines a success or failure, so dear Editors, please be advised that you owe us common courtesy and respect.

For myself, I hardly submit at all anymore. I have my reasons. But it is of little consequence to me whose clique you are in because when I write, I will always write for myself.~McR
