Here's how it works,
Rules:
1. All times for each challenge will be turned in within 24 hours after the challenge end time. EXAMPLE: Challenge End Date: Sunday, October 10th, 2004, 11:59 pm board time, your times must be submitted by Monday, October 11th, 2004, 11:59 pm board time, or they will be declared invalid. Exceptions will be made for those with reasonable excuses. You can turn in times early if you are done early. Submit all times to macsnob via IGN PM or email macsnob@mchsi.com.
2. The winning driver must post his/her settings/tunings, and a description of their lap, if this is not done, their time will be disqualified. This walk though is very important, it will help some of the other drivers to figure out where they made mistakes, or how to take a turn better. It is also a good way to teach tuning/driving techniques to those who arenŐt as skilled as everyone else, thus the whole purpose behind the boards.
3. DO NOT post your times anywhere, or even hint to what you are running. This spoils the surprise at the end of the challenge.
4. Gamesharks, Sharkports, and other game enhancing devices are not allowed. Not everyone can afford them, so donŐt use them. They give you an unfair advantage over other competitors.
5. No Wall Rides. This doesn't mean that you can't touch the wall but no slamming or bouncing off walls. No leaving the normal line of travel to ride a wall on the far outside. Two tires must always have contact with the pavement or rumble strips. No cutting through the grass or sand. Pit lane runs are NOT allowed.
6. Cheating will not be tolerated, if it is found out that you cheated, your time will be disqualified, and you will be awarded no points.
The Car:
1. You will buy a NEW Lotus Esprit V8 - SE. Cost is 106,000 credits.
This is the car you will use for the whole competition. So take care of it after the Ranking Challenge.
2. You will have a credit limit of 20,000 for the first race. You may spend any, all or none of your credits on the first race.
You can buy any mod for your car but your modifcations can not exceed 20,000 for the first race.
I will track all spending based on the prices posted. Let me know if your version of GT3 has different prices.
REMEMBER to list the parts that you have purchased with your time when you submit them.
You can not sell parts back but you can replace them. If you purchased a Stage 1 Turbo and later want to replace it with a Stage 2 you can but you get no credits back for removing the Stage 1.

Teams:
1. Each team should consist of 2 drivers.
2. The team should have a name as well. Team members are responsible for sending their times to macsnob via PM or email macsnob@mchsi.com
Classes:
There will be 2 Heats per race. When a team submits their times the fastest of the two will go into Heat #1 the other in Heat #2.
This way the fastest drivers for each race will compete against each other.
Points will be awarded in both Heats.
Points will be awarded in each Heat as follows.
1st - 5 points
2nd - 4 points
3rd - 3 points
4th - 2 points
5th - 1 point
There will also be a Bouns Point for the single fastest time.
Points will then be posted for each driver and for each team.
