My name is Calvin Keli Lunny, I'm a licensed FCC General Class amateur radio operator callsign N9IUA. Ten meter SSB radio awards earned are DXCC, WAS and WAC. During my many frequent travels I've met thousands of other "ham" radio operators on 10 meter SSB, FM two meters and 70 cm working simplex and using the nationwide system of radio repeaters. Member of the American Radio Relay League.
I am a state government employee whose work involves extensive travel, I go to manufacturers of highway steel bridges and overhead sign structures where I perform vendor surveillance inspections. American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector #85050651. Since September 1984, I have been employed with the Illinois Department of Transportation Central Office Bureau of Design with the Bridges & Structures Fabrication Section in Springfield, IL. Previous employment; in the year 1972 was certified NAVSHIP nuclear-welder, CETA trained at Mystic Welding School, Mystic, CT. Welder on USN fast attack and Polaris nuclear submarines employed with General Dynamics Electric Boat Division at Groton, Connecticut. In the year 1973 I started performing quality control inspections on nuclear power electric generation facilities in construction and operations . Powerhouses I have worked total eleven, four boiling water and seven pressurized water reactor designs, they are BSEP for Brown & Root, Inc. at Southport, North Carolina STP for Brown & Root, Inc. at Bay City, Texas, CPS for Baldwin Associates at Clinton, Illinois, SONGS for Bechtel Power Corp. at San Clemente, California, MPS for Project Assistance Corporation at Midland, Michigan, Wolf Creek for Daniel International Inc. and National Inspection and Consultants at New Strawn, Kansas, Enrico Fermi for Tech Aid Corp. at Newport, Michigan, CEI for National Inspection and Consultants at Perry, Ohio, Dresden for McCartin McAuliffe Inc. at Morris, Illinois, Plant Vogtle for Tech Aid Corp. at Waynesboro, Georgia and Krsko for National Inspection and Consultants at Krsko, Slovenia, formerly in the Republic of Yugoslavia.
