The schedule calls for our first marathon pace run, where we will run a decent distance practicing our goal marathon pace. I realize that many of you will opt to run the Parley Pratt Race which will take place at Twin Lakes. However, I am committed to these long runs and now that we are a mere 9 weeks away from the marathon, I feel it is important to have some sustained intensity to mimic what you intend to do on Labor Day.

2 miles of warm-up
13 miles at marathon pace
2 miles of cool-down

El Presidente plans on running his marathon pace miles at 8:15 pace. Water will be availabe at miles 6, 10 and 15 with Endurance Formula Gatorade also available at mile 10.

August 1: 22 Miles
August 8: 22 Miles*
August 15: 22 Miles
August 22: 19 Miles*
August 29: 12 Miles*

September 7: 26.2 Miles
