Ray
"Skeeter" Quijas was born and raised in a small
town in south Texas where the deer and squirrels outnumbered
the people. Ray enjoys fly fishing so much, he chose to
move his family across the country from Pennsylvania so
that he could be closer to the western waters he only
read about. Next to fly fishing, Ray truly enjoys pheasant
hunting with
his Springer "Katie". Ray says "some of
the best times I ever had afield were spent in cornfields
and grasslands alone with "Katie" quartering
up ahead. Bagged birds have never been necessary for the
hunt to be considered successful."
Ray's favorite time of year is the fall
where he enjoys the beautiful outdoors in waders or
brush pants, time with family and friends, and good
coffee.
Ray currently resides in Erie, CO with
his understanding wife Renee, three daughters (9, 6,
and 3), and trusty bird dog "Katie".
