Salem Lutheran Church 222 E. Beecher Jacksonville, IL 62650 Salem Preschoolers participate in a self-concept unit to begin the year. We learn that we have bodies and that they are the same in some ways, different in others, and that God loves us all! During this self-concept unit, we emphasize the fact that God made us special. The children are given many opportunities to make models of themselves. We learn that we have feet and that feet can do many things! We learn about our differences in skin, eye, and hair color. Here are some examples of our self-portraits. To finish our unit, we talk about families and how God gave us different families that are just right for us! We learn about God's beautiful fall on our trip to the park! Our fall display at Premier Bank Over the summer, the wall between our rooms was taken down. Here is a picture of the demolition.
