The Puchigusos

Japanese VA - Mitsuyo Kondo        American VA - ???

Ahh, the Puchigusos (Grunties in the American versions), how cute are they?  They are pets that can be raised by players in "The World."  Like real pets they need love and affection and good nurturing to grow and mature.  When young they are very small, and quite adorable, and make great pets for players of "The World."

Raising puchigusos is no easy task for players. Depending on what they feed them they will gain different attitudes and abilities.  As they age they also become larger and change their appearance sometimes.  But not all is good, for only a certain number of the same type of puchigusos can live in the same town, so if a player raises one that already exists, they leave and head off to who knows where.

But, if raised carefully and with love they can become an asset to players, providing transportation and an easier way around the many fields of "The World."

**From the DVD insert from Vol. 2:  These animals exist throughout "The World." Players can go to the Grunty nursery and raise a Grunty of their own.  Aside from being something like a pet, they can also be used as transportation.  But, perhaps their most valuable role is as a trading partner; players can trade with their Grunty for some unusual items.
