Castle

The episode begins with the Twilight Eye opened. Sora is standing in front of the red Chaos Gate, and after saying, "Here I go!" he gates out and the Twilight Eye closes.

On the other end, the field looks like an upside down castle. As BT and Crim warp in, they are surprised at what they see. BT asks if Crim knew that such a place existed. He says that he had only heard rumors about it. Finally they check their notes to see where they should be heading, BT points out a strange structure across the ways. With that they both run off.

In Dun Loireag Mimiru and Bear are waiting on Tsukasa, Bear thinks he has a reason for being late. However Mimiru would like to know what those reason could be. She then tells Bear, that Tsukasa is a strong kid. Bear agrees, however he begins to say something more…but stops. This angers Mimiru who after saying a few words to Bear, manages to get him to finish. "Tsukasa is a strong kid, but that strength can be a double-edged sword. Finally Tsukasa arrives.

Back in the upside down castle, Crim and BT are climbing up one of the statues, then BT looks down and spots Sora on one of the balconies. She says nothing, and they continue the climb. However when they reach an opening…it only leads to another climb. At this point BT tells Crim that they may have a 'bug' following them. Crim tells her he felt that something was following them. However when asked what they should do if the 'bug' keeps following, Crim simply says they'll deal with it when it happens.

Back in Dun Loireag, Mimiru comments on Tsukasa being late, this seems to sadden Tsukasa somewhat, but he then tells them that he is ready to leave. Bear tells him where they need to be transported to, and Tsukasa once again asks if they will be able to get the 'Key of Twilight' there. Bear tells him that nothing is for sure, but even if they don't, they should find a big clue there.

They are then transported to the upside down castle by Tsukasa, they look around, and as Bear peers over the side, he spots BT and Crim and this causes them to get going. BT and Crim leap across ledges trying to lose Sora, who we see running after them stating: "I am following you at my own pace." BT and Crim enter a room where BT stops and tells Crim that it is Sora who is following them. She then says that if they keep going the way they are he will eventually catch them. BT offers to stay behind, but Crim tells her that his battle with Sora never finished. And that when the time came, he would deal with it himself. Back with Tsukasa's group, they are racing across a bridge when ground gives way under Mimiru who is saved by Bear. She tells him that despite knowing it's a game, she is still afraid. She wonders what will happen to her if she falls. Bear tells her nothing and that she will only start off where they left off. Then yelling that he is not a city weakling, he pulls Mimiru back up in time before more of the bridge crumbled. During this time Tsukasa looks on but only mentions: "He's mad." He then goes on telling them that he has a very bad feeling about the place. When Mimiru and Bear ask if he wants to turn back, he tells them it's fine with him. He will go on by himself.

Meanwhile back in Mac Anu, Subaru speaks with Ginkan and asks if anyone was there to see her at all. Ginkan tells her nobody came that wanted to see her. (Filthy liar! :P)

Back at the castle, Tsukasa is climbing across a statues arm as he, Bear, and Mimiru continue through the strange dungeon Back with BT and Crim, Sora finally catches up with them, Crim tells BT that he trusts her, and to go on ahead. She complies, and moments later Sora enters the scene. Crim tells him that he is not going to let Sora pass…without a fight. After exchanging a few more insults, the battle begins. But we then see BT high above looking down on both her "partners".

The episode resumes in a strange room where doorways light up which is immediately followed by a high-pitched sound. Tsukasa and company enters and are somewhat unnerved by the place. Tsukasa finds the direction of where most of the vibes are coming from, and despite being very frightened, he continues onwards in that direction.

We return to the battle between Sora and Crim, which is halted as Sora uses his katars to block another attack from Crim, and both pause for another exchange of words. Sora breaks the standstill and knocks Crim back. Then once again the fight pauses for more dialogue. Sora asks if Crim wants to know why he is there. Crim asks if he was lured there by BT. However Sora tells him no…it's Crim who has been lured to there.

The scene switches to BT, who has made it to the final area of the field, and stands before the door, which will lead to her objective. She cautiously opens the door and enters a room illuminated in bright light. However BT doesn't find what she expects. Instead she finds a strange white haired man on the ceiling of the room, attached to some strange red thing. After a long silence she says: He is the one who has been sending those messages. And that she is ready to hear what he has to say.

And once again the scene switches back to Sora and Crim. Sora asks if Crim is angry, and Crim asks who wouldn't be after being told something like that. Sora tells them that BT will end up getting the Key of Twilight. Crim is alright as long as Sora doesn't get a hold of it. Finally Sora asks Crim if he wants to join him - because they are simply the best - he says. Crim declines and the fight resumes.

The scene switches back to BT who has just exited the room. She meets Tsukasa and company, and Bear asks her where the Key of Twilight is. She says that she didn't find it, Mimiru says she is lying and that there has to be something. BT simply tells them to check it out for themselves, but with another sound, she then tells them they should leave as soon as possible, as the field will begin moving once the spell wears off. With that Tsukasa, Bear, and Mimiru enter the door and meet the upside-down man. Bear tries questioning him…but the man begins speaking in riddles. However he does confirm that he is the one who sent the messages out. Then continues on how he failed as a father, and then asks that they…(not sure if he is speaking to Tsukasa and company or just in scripted speech)..take care of Aura. Tsukasa seems to understand what he may be talking of. The man keeps talking, but it seems like he is not talking at all to Bear and them, and keeps repeating how he filed…and that 'she' represents everything he loved of 'you'. He keeps asking 'they' take care of her. Yet Mimiru and Bear can't make heads or tails of what he says. Finally the man stops and seems to have "broken down". However Tsukasa exclaims that he knows what it is the man kept talking about. But at that point Bear says it's too dangerous to stay there and gets them to evacuate.

Back with Crim and Sora, their fight finally ends when a large boulder falls in between them. Thus ending the conflict until a later point.

Bear, Mimiru and Tsukasa can't escape with a sprite ocarina, and when they reach a dead end, Bear walks forward and suddenly the ground under him gives way and he plummets downward. Mimiru and Tsukasa are frightened, but then Maha appears and as Tsukasa questions why he is there, she summons the guardian. As it begins to attack, Tsukasa pushes Mimiru out of harms way…but ends up on the receiving end of the tentacle of the guardian. He is then data drained and dies.  Mimiru looks on in horror **One of my FAVORITE moments in .hack//SIGN --->** . Back in Mac Anu Subaru seems to feel something has happened and we see a tear drop fall onto her hand. Back at the Castle Mimiru looks onto the colorless body of Tsukasa in complete shock.
