2 D cell NiMh rechargeable cells.
The larger surface area of the 3 Watt Luxeon LED die produces a spot of light bigger than the incandescent bulb. Just as bright, but a larger spot so it lights up more area. You get a better view of the barn, and truer color rendition. |

But, the ProCharger isn't just limited to
D cells. With the HotRod 3CN2D adapter, 3 C cells can be used to drive the
ProCharger to exceptional brightness.
Even this comparison does not do justice to the ProCharger. While the incandescent flashlight starts out somewhat competitively, it quickly looses brightness as the batteries are consumed. |

Here's a runtime chart for the 2D Mag LED flashlight compared to the ProCharger flashlight. Note than after only ten minutes into the run time test the Mag 3 Watt LED flashlight has dropped intensity almost 50%. The ProCharger operating on the same NiMh cells removed from the Mag puts out over twice the light and maintains constant brightness. |
