Eric was born May 31. 1973 in Springfield, Missouri. Early on, he showed an interest in the arts, mainly through choir, writing, and hobby photography. He spent much of his youth driven to both party and success, wanting very much to become an Architect. Following his dream, he moved to Phoenix Arizona, for college. |

While in Arizona, Eric discovered what would soon be his downfall; Methamphetamines. Over a several year period, he dropped out of college, estranges himself from his family, and proceeds to destroy any positive future he might have had. In a moment of lucidity, he realized his error. In 1995, he entered rehab, and began his new journey of sobriety that continues today. |

After rehab, Eric moved back to Springfield Missouri, and took steps to regain his life. Along the way, he had a beautiful daughter, rediscovered the joys of photography, moved to the Joplin Missouri area, and when buying a house, met his soon to be wife. After surviving a tornado in 2003, Eric and Dannielle were married, and Eric decided to pursue his photography as more than art and a hobby, but as a profession. |

Eric now lives in Carl Junction Missouri, he has a home based photography studio Serving Joplin and surrounding communities, as well as a couple online stores. He has many hobbies, and is constantly working on one project or another, from web design, to writing, and even music. |

A note from the artist: Photography seems to be the best form of expression for me and how I perceive the world. A simple image can change drastically just by altering your point of view or subject of focus. I love to take a traditionally standard image, and look at it from a different point of view, or alter the focus, just to see it in a different light. Reality is relative, and often, that is what I like to portray in my work. Not to the level of insanity, but maybe some crazy images. -Eric Steele
