Step One: You will need to have your
pictures or images stored somewhere
OTHER THAN your
computer’s hard drive. There are various
FREE
services available that offer storage space and remote linking for your
pictures and images. The three most popular services are
PHOTOBUCKET.COM,
PICSPLACE.TO and
FLICKR.COM.
The instructions to follow are for
PHOTOBUCKET.COM...
Step Two: Once you have signed up for your free account at
PHOTOBUCKET.COM, go ahead and sign
in to your account. CAUTION: Cookies must be enabled when you sign in.
Step Three: Once you are signed in, you will see a box which is
labeled Upload Images and Videos. If you do
not see this box,
click your mouse on the LOG-IN option near the top of the page and log
in again.
Step Four:
Upload the picture you wish to post by finding the picture on your hard
drive with the CHOOSE option and then clicking your mouse on the
picture or image you have stored on your computer. Then click the
UPLOAD button. If the picture you wish to post is not on your hard
drive but is on the Internet instead, you can upload the picture using
the UPLOAD FROM A WEB URL option in the upload box.
Step Five:
Once your picture it is uploaded, you will receive a message on the
page stating that the image has been uploaded. Now find the image on
the page by scrolling down.
Step Six: Once you have found
the picture, you will see the URL LINK, HTML TAG and IMAGE CODE
immediately beneath your picture. Place your cursor inside the HTML TAG
box and COPY the HTML TAG in its entirety.
If you DO NOT know
how to COPY the HTML TAG in its entirety, put your mouse cursor at the
first character you want to copy and, holding down the left mouse
button, drag the cursor to the last character you need copied. As you
drag, you'll notice everything gets highlighted (selected). Once you
release the left mouse button, you should see a message stating
"copied". If you do NOT see a message stating "copied", right-click the
selected area. Choose Copy from the menu that pops up (or you can use
CTRL-C if you like keyboard shortcuts). It is now copied.
Step Seven: PASTE the HTML TAG you have copied into your post on
the Post A Message page at eons.
If
you DO NOT know how to PASTE the HTML TAG, move your cursor to the
beginning of the area in your post where you would like to insert the
HTML TAG for your picture (where you want your picture to appear in the
post). Click the right button on your mouse and click Paste from the
menu that pops up (or you can use CTRL-V if you like keyboard
shortcuts).
Step Eight: Click your mouse on the PREVIEW
button on the eons Post A Message page and you will see you picture!
NEVER POST A MESSAGE WITHOUT PREVIEWING IT FIRST!
CAUTION:
The smaller the picture, the faster it will load. DO NOT attempt to
upload LARGE pictures to your post. Members and visitors using dial-up
connections to the Internet do not appreciate having to wait a long
time for your picture or image to load. If your picture is large,
follow the following instructions:
Step One: Locate your
picture on your Photobucket page (the page where the uploaded picture
is located) and click your mouse on the PICTURE.

picture appears you will see the following options: Click to Add Title
(Edit), Full Size, Resize, Rotate, Share, Send to Mobile, Order Prints,
Delete. Click your mouse on RESIZE.
Step Three: When you
click your mouse on RESIZE, you will be presented with various size
options. Click your mouse on the size option you wish to choose. This
will automatically resize your photo/image.
Step Four: You will now be presented with your resized image.
Near the top of the page, you will see the options:
my album | go pro | help | find stuff
Click your mouse on MY ALBUM. You will now be returned to your album
