7/7 I hope everyone had a nice 4th. Well Alexis is now officially a teenager! She has had no problem fitting into her new teenager attitude. :) I think she has been working on it for about a year so she is really good at it. hmmmm. I think I am going to have to call my mom and apologize for all the grief I gave her as a teenager. Anyway for Lexi's birthday we went to the Hampton, she brought 2 friends with her. They had allot of fun, they were in the pool till midnight. I never realized just how loud 3 teenage girls can be. We didn't get kicked out but I'm not sure there anticipating our return. :) I forgot my camera so I didn't get pictures. (darn) Makenna just turned 10!! double digits for Makenna!! Makenna got a new puppy for her birthday, Pekingese of course. His name is Jake and he is 4 months old. He is soooo cute, he looks like a little white fluff ball. He definitely has the Peke personality. He thinks he is king and ruler of the house and he doesn't seem to realize that he is not a Great Dane. He is adorable. Daisy loves to play with him. She doesn't even seem to be jealous of him, of course she will always be my baby though. I am going to put a couple pictures of them in the Photo Gallery, if anyone is interested in see the new little guy.
6/5 June is here. Today was the last day of school for Makenna and Alexis. Cody still has to go the rest of the week. (poor Cody) On the last day of school every year the kids in the elementary school have field day. Field day is for the whole elementary school to go out on the school track/football field and participate in games. They always have allot of fun, even on days like today where it is a bit cold. Well I got a couple of pictures from field day, I got there late and only caught the very last activity so I only have a couple pics. I will share the pictures in the photo gallery.
5/26 Only 5 more days of school left until summer break. HELP!! :) I hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day weekend. At the bottom of the page I have added the pet of the week from our local animal shelter to support giving homes to dogs in need.
5/17 I will be putting some new pictures on my autism page and doing more work on my memories page. 5/15 Ok It was brought to my attention that my photo gallery page wasn't working so after much frustration I think I have it working now. I hope. I put a few pictures in the photo gallery if anyone is interested in checking them out. I did have a slide show in the photo gallery but it was conflicting with my page and I couldn't figure out why. :( It was just ticking me off so I gave up for now. Maybe when I remove the sledge hammer from my monitor I will try again to figure out what the heck the problem is. Anyway nice weather we are having lately. :) My flowers are looking great. We planted our strawberries they should be ready in about a month. We probably won't have allot since its there first year but there will be a few. Of course Cody will eat them all but that was to be expected. Its Cody after all. :) Alexis had her first softball game yesterday. She did Awesome. She played 3rd base. She scored once and got 2 hits. She will play first base for the rest of the season. Go Lex!!!! I don't have pictures of the game because unfortunately I didn't get to go but I will be there next game and have pictures to share. I will have Lexi's team picture up as soon as I get them. I have pictures of my Aunt Cathy in the photo gallery. She is my Grandma's best friend. She is moving to Nevada with her sister. The pictures are from the day before she left. I have known her my whole life and I will miss her very much. I wish I could have spent more time with her in these recent years but I have many great memories for now.
5/3 I fixed the link to my autism page if anyone wants to check it out. Alexis' musical is tomorrow check back for pictures. The weather has been beautiful here. I started planting my flowers, we will be planting strawberries soon. *Yummy* Speaking of Yummy, we are starting our garden in a couple weeks, I can hardly wait to enjoy all those tasty veggies. :) I think I will take a couple pictures of my pretty flowers to share with you. The annual autism "walk to talk" is coming up. I am adding a link to the info if anyone is interested in attending. The money made from the walk goes to provide summer services for children with autism. This is very helpful to families who struggle to afford the therapies and services that are so beneficial to children with autism. Come on out and show your support. :)
4/26 Alexis will be performing in a musical at her school. They are doing the musical "Seussical". She will be playing the part of a "who". It sounds like it going to be a really cute play. They will be performing Friday and Saturday, May 4th and 5th. I have put a slide show that I made of the kids in the photo gallery. Hopefully I can find the time to keep up with my webpage this time.
