Are You ready to take your passion to the next
level? These workshops are meant for the experienced and talented
amateur photographer who is considering making a living in this
industry. Unless otherwise specified, classes are taught by Jennifer
Wheeler, who has been making a living producing award-winning
photography since 2002. Class limit is 5, to allow for more individual attention.
Serendipity Studio
In this class, we will cover the first steps necessary to starting a photography business in MN. Some of the topics will include: Types of business classifications, Sales and Use Tax, selecting and registering a business name, necessary insurance and contracts.
Please bring a portfolio of your work to the second class for discussion, idea exchange and gentle critique.
We will touch upon websites, branding and marketing your business in this series. There will be no photography instruction in this series, as this is geared towards experienced amateurs/aspiring professionals.

In this class, we will talk about identifying a brand for your business, identifying and marketing to your target market, give you information on website creation, and marketing materials.
Whether you take it from me or do it on your own, you should have Business Basics I covered before you take this class.
We will spend more time critiquing and refining your portfolio, so that you can attract more of the type of business that YOU want to do!

Are you ready to stop dreaming and make your dreams come true?
Jen Wheeler has helped launch several successful businesses, including her own. Work with her to create a brand and a niche for yourself, put together your pricing, projections and business plan, and get your marketing materials created. We will work together to create a portfolio that showcases the best representation of what you have to offer.
The fee includes: 8 weeks of one-on-one mentorship, consultation and design of your business cards and brochure, guidance to completion of your website, and individually tailored help with launching the look and feel of your business. (Jen Wheeler will design your materials and help you select a website and/or blog, but the cost of the printed materials and site hosting is not included.)
This is a highly specialized offering, and is only available to 1-2 select clients at a given time. We will consult prior to commitment to determine if this is a good mentor/student fit. Email or call me ASAP if you are interested.
